My LO is 16 months old and I dont have a baby book! I saved everything though, so I think I am going to start working on it now. I'm I the only one?

I don't either! I was given a baby calendar...I should probably find it and start working on it

We're not really doing one. I bought a nice journal before he was born, and I write in it every so often (I think I've written 4 entries in 6 months). I plan to give it to him when he turns 18. I guess I kind of wish I had've kept up with his firsts and stuff, but I didn't, so I don't worry about it now.
We do plan to make a photo book of his first year. We take lots of photos. I think that'll be enough!

I don't and I feel guilty! I do write down every milestone and take pics every day though.

Sacrilege!! J/K . As much as baby books look adorable I would rather purchase a cheap one for the layout and then create my own that isn't fill in the blank.

I don't have one and I wish that I did. I feel bad not having one.

I did a fill in the blank one because I know myself...I start lots of projects and finish none of them and I knew I would forget the stuff. I filled it out religiously the first year and I even had a daily calendar journal where I wrote an entry ever day for a year.

I still have my baby book from when I was little so I knew I wanted one for LO. Especially because my memory sucks..... I need to write everything down!

@swedishfish: same! I need to start filling the calendar in!

I have one and got really upset when I found it and realized I'd not done anything with it. Then DH reminded me that I have done a photo essay of his first year, lol.
I did make him a big photo book and wrote him a letter the night before his birthday all about his first year.

I don't have one but LO is only 3 months. We're going to do a photo book rather than traditional baby book.

Nope and I don't feel bad. It's just not me, you know? But I do have a file of occasional letters I write her.

@allison: i have a journal too! i do a bad job of writing in it, but i got it when i was pregnant!

Oh crap! This just reminded me that I do have a baby book for LO - one that I haven't updated in like 3 months! Eeek!
The one thing that IS working really well for me is this journal I got from Target:
(stock photos)
I started about 2 months ago and haven't missed a day yet! I mean, 1-line, that I can handle!
@lizzywiz: aww, that's sweet - I've been meaning to write her letters but haven't gotten around to it - maybe I will try to do it on every birthday.

Don't have one either! Gonna do a one year photo book though. Good enough!

No, I never bought a specific baby book, but I keep good track of what's going on weekly, if not daily (thanks to my parents being out of town and I have to electronically send them everything!), so I'm planning on printing a photo book with captions

I want to make photo baby books! I'm taking notes about milestones in my mom journal.

Thanks everyone. I do have a blog and I record a lot of things. I think I will buy a fill in the blank one!

I don't have anything like this. It's a lovely idea but I doubt I would have time to keep up with it (what with my HB habit!!).

@78h2o: I got that book as a baby gift for a friend, and I want to get one for me! I hope to do a baby book too just to have a place to put keepsakes, but one line a day seems much more manageable.

I don't have a book, but I have a calendar. It's just easier to keep up with everything and I can just quickly jot a note down here and there. I keep all of LO's items that I want to keep from like the hospital and such in a memory box.

@78h2o: I really like that idea. What a great way to see how your baby grew from one day / year to the next.

Nope...I don't have one with DS. I was gifted one, but I knew that I wouldn't keep up with every little blank in there.
I've just taken pictures of every little thing!

I bought 2 - Parenthood listography http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/145211188X/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the baby book http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/030746542X/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I really liked both of the formats i'm more of a list maker than a essay writer. Hopefully i can keep up with them when she arrives
