I just attempted to make some pants for baby girl and I got so frustrated I had to walk away. After taking over an hour to cut out all the pieces (knit is really hard to cut!) I tried to follow the instructions to line up the edges to sew....but they don't line up! I thought maybe I cut them wrong, but the patterns don't line up either. Am I missing something?

I have made pants before and that was how I did them, no problem lining them up. Maybe you need to do a test pair using a different material that doesn't pull and stretch?
Take a pair of your pajama pants, turn them inside out. Fold them in half using the way the fabric is cut as a guide, like if you were creasing the legs. See how they kind of curve?

@blackbird: @looch: I figured out the legs....I just lined up the edges and didnt worry about the fact that they didnt lay flat (which makes sense). But the feet? Disaster. Huge disaster.

@Mrs. Lion: I love knit but it so hard to sew with! I saw this in the instructions:
stretching bottom of leg opening as needed to fit curves of sole.
Did you do that? Since its knit it wont lay perfectly like cotton does
