I just graduated last Friday (woot!) with a degree in Middle School Education with a dual English/Social Studies certification. Admittedly, I had my heart set on teaching social studies in a middle school.

However, jobs are difficult to come by these days and I just received a call from a local high school that wants to interview me for a high school English position. The issue is, I haven't been in a high school since I graduated from one 11 years ago! Do you think high school is much different than teaching middle school? Most of my student teaching experience has been in the 8th grade.
