Yes. I think the self-entitlement is the point. I really like Girls. It's one of my favorite new shows right now!

The earlier shows really kind of irked me. It was a bit painful to watch the lead character do the things she does. I definitely thought the series got better and its pretty funny. I love when their friend accidentally smokes crack and then ends up running around with no pants on. I was laughing my butt off!

We're catching up on it right now and some of the episodes just make me want to hide my face in embarrassment for the characters. Mostly for Hannah.

I have watched all but the season finale. I like it in a weirdly voyeuristic, train-wreck, kind of way. Hannah is so painfully self-involved, I just keep watching to see if I can figure out why these other girls remain her friends. And I think the entitlement thing is kind of the point - how are these girls going to navigate life without the cushion of college and their parents?

... the exaggerated entitlement, the awkward and super embarrassing scenes, the writing... all hilarious and really well executed!

@Andrea: My DH totally doesn't like it. I DVR'd it on Sunday nights and watched it after work, before he got home. That's how annoyed he got with the show It seems like it's a show people either really like, or can't stand at all.

I'd like to watch it because I really like the writers and actors involved, but it's probably going to irritate me. I struggle sometimes watching people who are the exact same age as me make stupid decisions and act immature.
