My breast, my say.

He'd prefer I stop at a year. That was my goal anyways, so that's the plan. If I go over a year it's not like he's going to demand I stop. We'd have a problem if he asked me to stop now because I'm not ready (neither is my LO), but he loves saving money and I'm saving us a lot by not having to buy formula so he'd never ask me to stop before a year!

He said it was up to me! He was completely on board with my goals

I think he has a say, but I think I get to make the last call. Like if after 6 months it just becomes too hard for me but he wants me to continue for a year, I think we should stop when I am ready to.

I am lucky that my husband supports me in whatever I want to do. I don't know that he'd be a huge fan of BFing past 2 years, but I am probably going to wean before 1 so that's not a concern.

In the early days I was really struggling & I think he wanted to switch to FF but as long as I wanted to try he supported it. Had he been more vocal about it, I would have listened but reminded him the benefits of breast milk. Even though we combo feed, I think it's hard to argue that providing at least some breast milk if you can is a great thing.

He definitely has a say!

He supports me in wanting to BF until 1, but I'm not sure what his (or my) thoughts on extended BF until 2 are. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

He supports me but does not make decisions about my body for me.
While I was pregnant we talked about how we preferred DD be fed but both understood that if it didn't work out for me that he wouldn't push me to do something against my will.

Absolutely. He preferred that she be breastfed for a year but obviously he wouldn't have forced the issue if I felt it was just too hard. But we made it to a year EBF and then he really had no opinion on where we went for there. We pretty much let LO take the lead. She's 15 months now and I *think* she's totally weaned. Last time we nursed was a few days ago and she hasn't tried since.

He has input but the final call is mine.

When BFibg was tough he was very supportive but knew not to suggest formula which I'm side was hard for him while watching me struggle.

He has expressed his concerns about tandem nursing (his grandma had a breakdown tandem nursing twins while trying to manage two other kids). And also the baby's health since I'm not gaining much weight this pregnancy. I told him needs to support me in front of his family (no saying "yeah I think she should stop too." in front of them) but that we can talk about it privately.

He did say we need to work on nursing manners! No poking my boobs and laughing. Though he thinks it's funny when he tries to open my shirt.

My husband thinks i should be done BFing. L is pretty much day weaned (just once upon wakeup, and when we get home from daycare) and we are working on night weaning (DH takes the first shift to 4 am, i bf any wakeups after that.) That was our compromise - he thought i should just stop cold turkey.

My DH said it's my body, my decision. I do think he wishes I wuld have breastfed longer than I did, but I made the decision, and agreed. I will be the same way next time.

Not even a little bit. Not in a mean way though. He just trusts me and leaves it up to me and that is our personal dynamic. Our relationship in general is this way. I hope to bf until at least two and he is fine with whatever. I am very pro dads having a say in things, I just am very much more type A than he is. He likes to be told what to do (which sounds horrible, but it isn't- it is just his preference) and our relationship dynamic actually works because I don't like telling people what to do or being told what to do. He kind of trusts me to do whatever. I am totally going on a tangent here, but somehow our relationship works because we both meet in the middle. If he was with someone that liked to tell him what to do he might get taken advantage of. Anyway! That is the background philosophy!

He is totally supportive of whatever I want and has been from the beginning (although, honestly if he hadn't been I would have done what I wanted anyways, which was bf until DD weans herself).

However, now that I'm pregnant he is concerned about how tandem nursing might go if I decide to go that route. But ultimately, my body, my choice.

DH definitely has his opinions on it, but he's been so supportive of whatever I want and choose. We're on the same page, luckily!

DH told me it was my body my choice, but he definitely wasn't thrilled with me wanting to do extended breastfeeding. He was afraid of DD being too attached to me and he said he would like her weaned by 2 (which was also my goal). That didn't matter at the end since we weaned at 14.5 months due to allergies. I will try to do extended BFing again with bb#2 and DH is on board the same way he was with DD.
