We picked up a BOB during REI's sale because it was a good time to use our dividends, and when we brought it home my husband pointed out that the manufacturing date was 5/11. I'm not sure if it's gone through any design changes since then (the most recent major update was early 2011) but it bothers me a little that it was manufactured 2 years ago. Does it matter for strollers the way it does for things like car seats?

I doubt it!! I'm know people who safely use 10yr old strollers. Maybe I'd be careful if you plan on buying a carseat adaptor ( you want to make sure to buy a 2011 version if they've changed).

I would just tug good on the straps and check the wheels to make sure there isn't any disintegration or anything. But within just that timeframe I think you should be fine.

I doubt it matters, unless there is a newer model with features or design changes you want that are not present in this one or it has been recalled. Unlike a car seat, strollers aren't designed with collisions in mind so as long as everything seems to be working well you're probably fine.

If its new, I would think it doesn't matter unless it is missing bells and whistles you want. It hasn't exactly been worn down in the store
