Yes it's not even close these days! Bee reads almost all of the books to the kids these days, as I'm often working in the evenings. She is so good at it! I run out of steam after 2-3 books but she can just keep reading and reading!! The kids love it. But I miss reading to the kids and hope to get back to it soon.

Probably me! I love to read, DH not so much. I also have a lot of nostalgia over books my parents read to me as a kid. DH and DD have other special activities together.

Me, because I'm not very good at physical play. So I make up for it by reading to them.

Me, but mostly because we read a lot at bedtime (she falls asleep while reading) and I'm usually the one she wants tucking her in.

Yes, I ended up reading a lot more books with the kids since I'm home with them. Now with DH back in school, I have been taking over bedtime stories as well.

I do 99% of it. DH doesn't have the same love for books that I do, though he'll do it if it buys him some cuddle time with the girls. My family are all big readers, and will read to the kids for hours when they visit!

Whoever does bedtime reads books. The only reason it isn't 50/50 is that most times she wants me to do bedtime.
I often feel like I cut rush reading time because it's right before my free time. But I can't think of a better time to read?!? (That would be consistent)

We read almost exactly the same. I know our nanny reads books to the girls during the day, and then my husband and I trade off the book reading at night before bed. We both do 2-3 books every time, depending on length.

My husband is self conscious over the sound of his voice, so he tends not to want to read.
I do most of the reading, but my son will occasionally choose a book in his second language and that, my husband will read.

Probably me, but DD did have a phase recently where she really wanted daddy to read books to her.

I would say me just because I'm home more with her. She loves books, and we read probably 10-15 throughout the day. Then 2-3 at bed time. But DH and I switch off bedtime every other day!

I do. It is the part of the bedtime routine I've really taken over and we read some when I get home from work too. He's on a reading kick
