LO is 16 months old, and we are struggling mightily with a vicious cycle of diarrhea and constipation. Until this last week, we had been battling constipation to the point where our ped prescribed a stool softener at her 15 month appointment on Monday.

Well the last week, the exact opposite has been true. She has had terrible diarrhea, and it is clearly burning her poor little bum. She's getting 3 teeth right now and just had her 15 month shots on Monday (a month late), so I figured that the combination was what was causing the runs.

I thought things were getting better this morning, because her poop last night and then again this morning was normal, maybe even a little hard, but I just heard from daycare that she pooped 3 times this morning and now feels worlds better.

So what gives? How do I help? It's been so irregular and SO smelly and nasty lately. I'm at a loss!
