Yes, it matches. My parents gave me my childhood dresser, which is maple, so we got a crib that matches it. I felt like white was too girly for a boys room and didn't think a dark wood would look right next to the maple dresser. It also helped narrow down my voices since maple is pretty hard to find! (If you stick with maple let me know, I can tell you the brands I found that had something that matched!)

We do have matching furniture (white) but likely won't when #2 joins big sis. (They'll be room sharing.) I don't think it has to match to be cohesive, but I'm no expert!

Yes - everything is white. It's over 2 years old and hasn't shown any wear.

Ours are all white. Some things do show some wear but we bought the major things pre-owned on craigslist anyway and we plan to replace it with nicer stuff when she is ready for a big girl room. I wouldn't worry about wear too much for a crib since you will only use it a short time.

Our crib is an amber wood and white combo, an amber wood dresser, white bookshelf and white desk.
