Not a daycare person, but UGH I hate passive aggressive comments!

I have to be at my desk at work by 7:53 every day no matter what (contract time), so my daughter is dropped off every day between 7:25-7:25, whether either of us want to be there that day or not. haha =)

No flexibility in my job, whatsoever.

Our daycare doesn't have a 'start' time exactly, but if we were going to arrive late, they would want a call.

For preschool or Kinder, we definitely would hear about it.

Nah, only if we pick him up late. They have a really big dropoff window. We've showed up at 930ish a couple of times after big tantrums and they were very understanding.

That seems rude! She's so young, why does it matter if she's late? She's not missing out on learning multiplication tables or something. And it's not like all the teachers wouldn't be there anyway.

I always let daycare know if we are going to be late (if we have an appointment or something first) just so they can plan breakfast accordingly.

I think that's very unkind of her teacher. When I was in school, my parents were chronically late, and I was always getting in trouble for it with my teachers. I always felt so angry, because I knew that it wasn't my fault that my parents didn't have their shit together, but I was too meek to stand up for myself, so I just felt really small and angry about it. It really sucked.

Not really, but if we are too late my DD misses morning snack. Then on her folder for the day it says "LATE" really big in the section where they talk about whether she ate her morning snack. I know they just write that to explain why she didn't have snack, but it always makes me feel bad. Haha.

We typically text or call if LO will be later than 30 minutes for any reason.

(serious debbie downer moment, not typical case) Our first daycare provider lost one kid because the dad accidentally left the kid in the car while he want to work that day. I don't think you get over that so she drilled her late notification policy into us.
