I showed DH the sling I ordered for me from Comfy Joey, and explained the whole concept of baby wearing. I told him that we need to find something for him to use when he doesn't feel like lugging the stroller around. His response? "I have arms. I can carry my daughter."
So he's not going to be any help in trying to decide on one...Does your DH wear your baby? What's the best gear?

He used the Bjorn a few times. My lo didn't love Baby wearing though.

DH wore her a few times in a Bjorn but he prefers to hold her or use a stroller. I started using our Ergo when she was 4 months old! She hated the newborn insert with a passion!

Baby Bjorn! It is the only one that he thinks looks "manly" enough, and he LOVES IT! We just back from vacay and he pretty much wore her the whole time.

We hardly ever use our stroller and only baby wear/carry our LO. DH uses the Mamas & Papas Morph we received as a gift... he says it's pretty comfortable, although now that LO prefers to face out (at 5.5 months), it's a bit more awkward to use.

@jholler25: This makes me laugh because my husband said the exact same thing when I was talking about getting an Ergo for carrying our son! I had mentioned that it didn't look feminine since I wanted the black one, and he just said, "I have arms. I can carry our son." Hmmmm
Fast forward to the Ergo arriving and my family plus my brothers-in-law go for a walk. I started to put my LO in the carrier when my BIL asked if he could carry the baby in it. He kept talking about how comfortable it was and how much he liked it. My BIL is a really macho guy so it was pretty neat to hear him say all those things. Well, imagine my surprise when my husband says, "Okay, it's my turn. Let me try out that thing." I had to turn away to hide my HUGE smile!! 
Moral of the story: have your SO's brother or good friend use the Ergo if you want your reluctant SO to see how wonderful babywearing can be!

He wore Toddler Girl, sometimes in the pouch sling and then a ton in the Ergo. He still wears her in the Sherpani when we go hiking. He's never worn Wonder Baby because he always has TG when we're out.

You're not alone. DH will never carry baby (i've finally gotten that through my head). He say's it's lame....and he would rather use his arms. I even bought the all black Baby BJorn thinking he'd get into it because he's a label whore and he was like "NO". So, I said "ok, i'll carry the diaper bag, you carry baby" and he thinks that's a genius plan.

Yep! The beco Gemini, we have black but it's pink on the inside (no one can really see that though). DD loves the skin to skin contact and DH feels like he bonds with her more when he wears her...probably because she can feel his heart beat and breathing.

DH said he would never wear DD but once she came and he ended up having to hold her a lot he caved. We got him the ergo sport because it looks "manly". He said its super comfy and she fell asleep right away when we put her in it.

He likes our baby bjorn but has only tried that and the not-so-great snuggly we borrowed at the national aquarium. I like that it is super adjustable so we can take turns with him.

He has only tried it twice, and used the Ergo. He's just carried her so far, but I bet he'll try to wear her more as she gets bigger.

The only one DH says he will wear is the Ergo.... until we got given a pink one. lol

We had the Moby when DD was first born and he tried it but found the fabric too cumbersome (he doesn't have much patience at times). When I was picking out our Ergo I narrowed it down to two (khahki or gray w/stars) and let him pick which we got (I was surprised when he picked the gray w/stars). When the Ergo arrived and we were getting ready to head out on our first walk he actually insisted on wearing her and often fights me to wear her. She is currently 28m/25lbs and he still will wear her on his back (if she is agreeable to it).
I'd suggest an Ergo.

DH used the moby with both kids while they were little. Then the bjorn and ergo sport as they've gotten older. DD still likes the ergo; I'm thinking about investing in a second one!

We're actually in the process of finding one. I bought the K'Tan for me so it doesn't fit him. Thinking of investing in a Ergo Sport even though my SIL gave me her Bjorn.
And yes he is willing to wear her. He's big into multi tasking so it's easier if he wears her
We also have a Kelty carrier for hikes and nature walks.

DH has said the same thing. He will not be using a carrier because he has arms BUT he's all for me using one and is actually really excited about my attachment parenting plans He's just not going to be the one carrying LO in the carrier. I have the Moby wrap for when LO is a newborn and the Ergo for when LO gets a bit older. I've decided not to try the Ergo infant insert because I have heard to many negative things about it.

Mr. Jacks wears the Performance Pro by Ergo. If your honey is tall or has a long torso, it has the best fit. It comfortably fits up to 6'6". We have 4 different Ergos now!

We don't have a LO yet, but DH talks about how once we have one, I can't hog them and keep them in a carrier, he wants to wear them too! It's so cute:)
@Mrs. Jacks: is that one good for someone with very broad shoulders too? DH is kinda jacked & I've been wondering if he'd even be able to wear a carrier because of his proportions. Very broad shoulders, big chest, tiny waist.

@mrs. bird: Yup! Mr was a rower and is pretty broad through the shoulders and narrow in the waist, so the Ergos that fit me end up pinching him. Performance is perfect for him though.

He's used the Bjorn (Synergy) and we just got the Ergo (Performance) which he's only used like once? Both have meshy material to help ease the hotness of wearing a baby carrier. I think as long as it doesn't get too hot and has great back support (which the Ergo is fantastic in this area!) he'll wear it.

I saw SO many guys babywearing this weekend at a festival we went to - they were mostly really structured carriers (like a Kelty) or an Ergo. My husband thinks he'd get too sweaty with a wrap - but we'll see!

I registered for an Ergo with the hope that my husband will use it too. We'll see how it goes when our little one arrives in November, but my husbands likes the idea of baby-wearing.
