My dog is such a jerk to all male visitors....he doesn't bite or jump but he growls a lot. He is a huge flirt with female guests...haha

They want attention! My beagle used to run in our bedroom and grab all of my underwear and bras and haul them out.

They're great. They don't jump around, bark, or growl. The most annoying thing they do is put their toys in your lap.

he barks and is all super excited, but calms down after about 10 minutes. unless you're nice to him, then he brings you all his toys and doesn't leave you alone until you leave!

At first they just really want to say hello. After the initial greeting, though, they calm down and behave and listen. They're like @sorrycharlie: 's though...if you keep giving them attention, they'll never leave you alone and you get to be their best friend for the day.

He's a class A asshole lately. I think it's a jealousy thing, with the baby. He's tries to hump everyone.

@sslm: lol my last dog would only hump my bil, and always when he was rough housing with my niece.
our dog loves attention.... And if she doesn't get it she'll growl and bark. Not in a mean way, just a give me attention now kind of way. She always rolls over for a belly rub.

One of mine gets really excited and wants to be petted and give kisses, but then settles down.
The other one is a HUGE a-hole
He was a rescue and is insecure...but instead of being the type to run and hide from the scary person, he tries to get them to go away -- by jumping waist-high and barking and being scary. He calms down after about five intense minutes of us doing our "new person routine" and then feels bad and wants to kiss their face and sit in their lap. Stressful

The first day we got my naughty cat dexter, he climbed a guests necktie. I was dying of embarrassment. Unless its my family we lock the cats in the bedroom and get a full on crying sesh from the trio.

Ours is terrified of people and runs around the house barking the entire time anyone is here other than people whom she knows really well.
