I always have wondered about this... if your SO is a great father or mother, do you put more of an effort into Father's Day or Mothers Day?
Or alternatively if they're not that into it, do you hold back a bit on Father's Day or Mother's Day?
Does your effort on Father's Day/Mother's Day depend in part on how good a father/mother your SO is?

Interesting question! DH has been so supportive and helpful from the beginning that I can't imagine how I would hold back...I wonder how I would feel about Father's Day if he wasn't pulling his weight...

I think it really has to do more with finances. If money was no objection I would do a lot more! But for now I think a DIY is just as sweet.

My DH is an AMAZING father. When he is home, he does SO much. That being said, he is currently on his 6th business trip since the end of January (I know some ppl travel a LOT but this is totally out of the norm for us), so I have done a whole lot on my own lately.
But he is a great dad.
But I am going away for a long weekend in June...and I JUST discovered it is on Father's Day. Oops. Let me tell you, if he dropped me with the gals over Mother's Day, on my own? Heads would roll!
So I will say that this year...I haven't put nearly enough thought into him!!! -
It is an interesting thought. My husband is one of the most involved dads I know. I always want to do something great for him for Father's Day since I don't always get to show him on a day to day basis how much I appreciate him. If he was not as involved I don't know if I would feel like doing as much.
