Lately, my hands have been getting a lot of abuse from cooking. I think I'm trying to rush all the time so I'm not being careful. Along with the winter dryness, my hands are looking awful these days.

Right now, actually, yes! I burnt my thumb the other day, so there's a nice long burn from the side of a pan. Oops.
ETA I forgot I also have some splatter burns from cooking bacon on Sunday on the same hand/wrist!

Nope, I am always overly cautious because I hate cutting myself! I do however have a scar on the top of my foot from cooking bacon though!

Nope! But I cooked in a sports bra the other day and DH found sauce on my belly after...gross, yah?
I do have burn scars on my hand from my hair straightener.

I do get burns from cooking at home, but none of them are permanent. Most go away after a couple days. However, my hands are permanently scarred from working at the shop. Oil splatters from flipping donuts and from bashing my hand into the top metal bar of the display case. =(

@cyndistar3: Haha, at least I'm not alone.
@Alivoo01: Hold on. You make DONUTS...at a donut shop? I want to be best friends...

@tororojo: haha! Sure, why not!! My husband and I own a "mom and pop" donut shop. He runs it 7 days a week, and I go help out in the early mornings when needed and all day every Saturday and Sunday. M-F, I'm at my corporate job as an audit manager.

@Alivoo01: Wow, you are a busy woman and that's so cool that you guys have your own shop! I'm amazed, I love donuts so much. I worked at a bakery once without gaining weight but I think if I had that much access to donuts I would double my weight...

@tororojo: Nah. They're really, really appetizing when they're hot and fresh, but after they've had a chance to cool down, not so much. I can't stop eating the kolaches, the sandwiches, or the burritos though. =(
