My daughter hates wearing pants. I can get her to wear bloomers without a fight but pants or shorts or leggings always result in a fight.

No LO quite yet, but funny story. My cousin has a kid and when she was little (3-4ish) she HATED underwear. Like, refused to wear it. They tried everything. So when she was 4 at Christmas they thought maybe they could convince her it was cool by getting underwear for all the cousins (who were older and were in on the game) and have everyone make a big deal out of how cool they were, then have her open her own character underwear. So they do. Everyone opens theirs and the older kids are all "oh my gosh this is the besssst I'm sooooo excited." She opens hers and her face immediately gets SO angry and she throws the underwear across the room and screams "I DON'T LIKE IT." And we're all trying not to laugh, because it is adorable but you can't reinforce that kind of behavior. And her parents are trying to make her say thank you to grandma and she just kept screaming "But I DON'T LIKE IT. I DON'T LIKE IT. IT'S STUPID." hahaha. She is 8 now and I know this is one of those stories that is going to get told at her wedding... just too amazing to forget

I was that kid. There were many years where I would only wear a dress. So I would run after my brothers in my dress. I call my younger self the "prissy tomboy"

Actually, my 16 mo old LO loves tights and pants... she will spend 30 minutes trying to figure out how to put them on by herself.
@Mae: LOL! Hilarious!
That reminds me of a story my sister told me... she is a kindergarten teacher... one day she had a kid announce to the class that over the weekend, she'd pooped in her pants. All other kids responded, "oh no, what did you do?" She responded, "My mommy didn't have another pair, so I went commando." The other kids probably had no idea what that meant, but my sister said they just accepted it and the kid was a celebrity all day!

DS1 hates jeans or any pants with a button. DS2 just hates clothes and tried to strip anytime we go somewhere.
