We're going to put in a backsplash and I'm looking for ideas. Bonus points if you post pictures! We have medium wood cabinets and a gray countertop.

Painted! I want to update it to glass subway tiles, but I don't know where to stop it so I keep putting it off.

I know I've posted pics of my kitchen a buuunch of times, but we did glass tiles. We have medium wood cabinets too.

Ours is raw quartz. It sparkles just a little and adds texture to our all white space. We found it at a local tile outlet, which had great deals if you've got something comparable nearby.

I just want something that is white glass or something with a lot of shine to reflect light.
I like the octagon marble that the Bowers just put up (while she was 9 months pregnant too!).

@mediagirl: working on getting DH to let me get an awesome backsplash installed, so currently, NO. But we too have gray counter tops and "medium" wood? I don't know what medium really is but it's not dark wood, that's for sure.
Maybe these? (google images)
This first picture is our color wood and our style cabinets, and the granite is very close to our color but more gray. I think these people have the same granite used in the counters used as their back-splash. Not creative but it does look sleek!

Our's is a piece of laminate that matches our cabinets. Ack!!
I want to replace it with glass tiles.

@TurtleDoves: our cabinets are about that color. Man, I love the look of the cabinets in that first photo. We need to put molding on ours. I also like the backsplash in the last photo. Our countertops are darker than the ones in that last photo - more dark gray, I guess. I want to replace those, too (laminate) but if we're going to move, that won't be worth it.

We have a tinted mirror backsplash! Will post a pic when I'm on my computer!

We have this tile, with dark cabinets and a white countertop:
It isn't as beautiful as the picture, but it does look nice. I wouldn't recommend something like this because they had a hard time installing it and I know were every crooked place is. Also, it looks a bit too busy. If I could have a do-over, I'd go with white subway tile for the clean look.

@Shutterbug: omg we have the exact same thing! I hate it and can't get oil stains off... What do you use?!

We're actually in the middle of remodeling right now. We got a limestone backsplash. We wanted subway tiles, but it was out of our price range, so we're getting 4 x 4 tiles in a diamond pattern.
Although I like white subway tiles, they use white grout, which turn yellowish as years pass. So we're getting an off white limestone.

We have granite backsplash...It goes all the way up to the cabinets.

@Mrs. Jacks: omg M is so big!!
@DisneyBee: I love white subway tiles with grey grout, like this, and you avoid the yellowing look

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @spaniellove: Thanks, ladies! It's such a small space, but we gutted and redid it last summer to make it more functional. I love it!
@Mrs. Jacks: I'm too distracted by M's sweet grin to notice the backsplash!

We have a tin backsplash. I'm too lazy to go take a picture, but it looks just like this:

We have a glass tile and I love it. Dh said it was a REAL pain to put up though.

We put this tile in last summer -- mix of glass&stone - got it at Home Depot or Lowe's -- took my dad and DH about 5 hours or so.

Ours are currently painted but tile guy is coming this morning to give an estimate....we are doing white subway with no spacing and a double row of little glass grey square tiles halfway up as an accent. We have white cabinets and black granite countertops. Can't wait for this last bit of the kitchen reno to be done!
