Yes! I had to put a teething guard on the rails to prevent him from eating it. Gross indeed. Then he thought it would be fun to pry it up and play with them in his bed.

Yes - my DS never touched it but DD is gnawing it to bits. She also took a massive bite out of the bugaboo pram handle. Grrrrr.

She doesn't chew on it but she sucks on the top rail, so it's always wet when I get her out of bed each morning!

Yes! She just started being able to pull up in her sleepsack in the last week or so. Now if I don't get to her fast enough she's gnawing on the rail. It looks like an animal lives in there.
@yin: I didn't know there was such a thing! Would you recommend it or was it more trouble than it's worth?

It's not the best since LO can pry it off the rail. He is old enough now that he just uses the rail as support to jump up and down. Hehe. I recommend the cloth ones that wrap around and tie. You can find them on Etsy or be super crafty and whip one up.

@autumnlove: We highly recommend the Trend Lab fabric one. Got it after I walked in his nursery one day when he was like 8 months old and found him standing there with paint all over his mouth!

@yin: I didn't think of a fabric one, thank you! That can be my weekend project. I'll post a photo if I manage to make one! I think I better make a cover for my stroller bar too...

@yin: @Mrs. Yoyo: thanks! I hate seeing paint chips on her face!

I bought the Leachco brand covers. I like that it has Velcro instead of ties because it's easier for my arthritic wrists.
