At home or at preschool? When did they start doing worksheets? ETA-I don't think our center does them because they are play based.

Not at preschool. They have a very play-based approach to learning so no worksheets or anything like that. (She's 2.5, and goes to a program for 2 - 3 year olds).
We do "worksheets" at home, but only for a few minutes at a time. We have a subscription to High Five magazine, so we will spend some time going through their activities. I also bought her a set of flash cards from Costco that you can use erasable markers to write on. It instructs kids to put a circle around the green block, trace letters, circle the 7 of a kind, etc. It's a lot of fun for her and she loves doing it.

I'm not much of a worksheet kind of person, but the 'Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus' activity book is so much fun if anyone is looking for a creative version of a workbook.

@pinkcupcake: Is the subscription worth it? I was thinking of getting it for LO too.

@Freckles: My daughter enjoys it. Her attention span isn't great so the short stories are perfect. She likes the hidden pictures activity, but some of them are a little hard. I think it's geared more towards 3.5 years old, but I bought a subscription through Plum District so it was really cheap. Figured I would save them up if she didn't quite get them yet

He just started bringing home worksheets this year (he's in the Kindergarten level class) and it is SO CUTE.

No, we're doing a play based preschool, so I would be surprised if he came home with worksheets.
I am okay with it for the older grades, but not for the kids below kindergarten.

Yes, we get a worksheet for homework every night. DD is in "pre-K" but they consider her at 1st grade academic level, hence the homework.
