My 17 month old just recently started grabbing our hands and walking us to where he wants to go or to what he wants us to get for him. It's cute and annoying at the same time. Does your LO do this or is my kid just being super lazy about using his words?

LO doesn't drag us around, but she can be very lazy with words. She'll reach and grunt for her milk when she knows how to ask for it. And she will take my hand and try to get me to swipe my phone so she can look at pictures or call her Nana.

Yes. All the time, but she tells me all about as she's dragging me. It's usually to a shelf she can't reach, or a door she can't open.

DD is 16 months and she'll take us by the hand sometimes. Like if I say, "Let's go get the mail" or "Is it time for bath?" she'll take me by the hand and lead me to wherever we're going.

All the time and it's always my hand. If DH is around, I'll tell her to go take daddy with her.

That's pretty normal for the age. My youngest who is also 17 months does the same thing now. It's really cute but a lot of times he comes over, grabs my hand, and when I stand up wants to be picked up. I wish I knew what these LOs were thinking!!!!

@mrsjazz: I know. Insane. They'll be 2 before we know it. And the grunting! I feel like he's always grunting at me now, too. What is that?!
And I'm glad other people are experiencing the hand dragging. It just started and I'm guessing he thinks its really effective because he's doing it a lot. I spend quite a bit of time going "no sweetie, we can't go outside right now."

Not yet but she will accept my hand in replacement for being picked up now, I have found. As long as I guide her somewhere, she is happy.

@BananaPancakes: It is sweet but he's usually whining while wanting to be picked up. My LO whines all day long.
