At first, DD1 was always dressed better than me because I was gifted so many cute outfits, but then I realize that she doesn't like to dress up. Now, I think I'm dressing just as well (or better) than they are.

Yes, totally. I'm still not happy with my PP body so rarely buy myself clothes. Once I'm done having kids I hope to get my act together.
DD, on the other hand, is a little fashionista!

Nope! I mean, my girls always look cute, but I dress them like kids. I don't put them in stuff that's uncomfortable or hard to move in, like a bunch of layers. Until they express an interest in fashion, practicality is king (with a few exceptions for holidays or fancy events or photos).
I, however, am willing to be a little bit more uncomfortable to look cute and always try to put nice outfits together. I've been buying a few things for myself lately and love to wear heels. I usually look pretty put together, even when I'm just out with the girls.

My LO is always dressed cute, but I'll be honest, I like being cute too so I am good to both of our wardrobes on the regular

My girls dress way better than I do. But they like wearing dresses and skirts and I hate it! I'm such a tomboy!
pomegranate / 3401 posts
No, we dress the same....easy comfy relaxed style. Lots of jeans and leggings and cotton tunic tops!
pomelo / 5093 posts
Nope. We both wear clothing that suits our very active lifestyle. It's usually pretty cute, because I do love fashion, but that's secondary to comfort, ease of movement, etc.

I think we both look pretty cute and make the effort for the two of us.

My girls are usually dressed way better than I am! They have so many cute outfits and I generally take the time to fix their hair, whereas I am as low maintenance as they come. I like my clothes and all but I feel silly getting dressed up to go for a walk into town or to the grocery store - jeans, boots, and hair in a ponytail are my daily uniform!

My daughter dresses so much better than me! Her grandmothers buy her clothes so she has so many!! They are all super cute. And since she grows out of the cutes ones so fast, I dont 'save' them for fear of them getting dirty - she just wears them. Also, I'd rather be in spandex or something to play on the ground with her and I always get bubbles or food or something on me from her. I joke that she goes out looking great and I'm always in workout gear or PJs haha.

We all have an equally low bar but clean up nice! They wear sweatpants out, which I don't though

Yes, she dresses much better than me! I need a whole new wardrobe but I cant justify the expense to myself!

Not really, it's too much work to dress her up too much. For daycare? For playing? I'm all practical and comfort. And if you follow me on IG, you'll see that she doesn't even wear clothes about 25% of the time LOL

Sadly yes. I don't want to spend money on myself due to body issues. But that is the #1 item I am working on this year.
Plus shopping for her is so fun!

She dressed waaaaay better than me. #1, she is tall and slim, whereas I am not, so clothes fit her better. #2, kid's outfits cost way less than adult ones, so I buy her more clothes. #3, kids clothes are soooo cute whereas I HATE most of the women's styles this winter. So, yeah, she totally wins.

My daughter is way better dressed. She has so many cute dresses! I want to start wearing more dresses like I did pre-babies, but I find things are either too formal (I WAH) or too pricey for what I want to pay.

yep - mainly because nothing fits me right now, so I look like a slob! lol. my belly hangs over my pants and out of my shirts.

not really anymore, I still dress her cute but I like to dress up as well, so we are usually evenly matched. I like to dress up in coordinating outfits Drives my husband nuts but she loves it.

By far. B is always styling (and comfy...why does stylish have to equal uncomfortable?) and I pretty much live in sweat pants. I put real clothes on to leave the house, but if I'm at home then I'm in sweats.

Right now, yes. But once I'm at my happy weight no. I dressing my kids cute!
pomegranate / 3759 posts
My kids can wear stuff I could never pull off. But I tend to stick to comfy clothes for them which is also nicer on the wallet.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
No, I dress my son for comfort and ease, which means a lot of pull on waist pants, which I don't wear. I am dressed up 5 days week.
eggplant / 11824 posts
She has a much larger shoe collection than I do and wears more jewelry than I do on a typical day, so yeah, she probably looks more put together than me.
cantaloupe / 6669 posts
SO much better. I look like a slob most days (WAHM) and I always try to dress LO cute if she is going anywhere which we do most days.

She looks adorbs all the time. She is the first grandkid on DH's side, so she gets gifted lots of super cute and expensive outfits.... think closet full of Janie and Jack (while mom wears Target).
My resolution this year was to leave the house looking way more put together.
pineapple / 12526 posts
Yep, her clothes are more expensive than mine thanks to grandma, too. Lol

To some extent - I'm still breastfeeding LO#2 so when we go out I'm a little limited in my selection of tops that I can manage to nurse in. I also lose a ton of weight while breastfeeding so currently my wardrobe staples are jeggings from the kids section
