My toddler saw a little girl playing with Prince Eric and Ariel dolls (The Little Mermaid) and she screamed Daddy!

The little girl I babysit calls me Mama. She's 21 months and she's always around my boys calling me Mama so she does too now. Lol. My boys haven't called anyone else Mama or Daddy, I don't think.

My son does, but I think it's because he thinks it is their name. It doesn't bother me because he calls me a specific title and everyone else is Mommy.

When my son was younger I was in the waiting area of a salon with him and he kept pointing to all the Italian stallion types in the hair product posters and going "papa! papa! papa!" It was funny and a little embarrassing. My husband is a good looking dude but that was definitely not him in the pictures.

My LO couldn't say Mister for a long time and would call men Mama "firstname"

R is too young to talk yet but I get called mom by my students sometimes!

J thinks any man on the phone is Daddy. I work from home a few days and he has called both my boss and co-worker, Daddy.

When I worked in a daycare I got called mama or mommy a couple of times. They were toddlers and I remember one little girl called me "mommy" (my name sounds similar to mommy) and she stopped and looked so completely confused. I think she had a little baby existential crisis lol.

I’m sure she has! Several of the toddlers in LO’s classroom have called me “mommy”, so I imagine she does the same.
She did call one of the fathers “daddy” once; he and I looked at each other and nervously laughed! LOL

All my kids call my friends by their first names, except for once at DD's 3rd birthday party, she yelled "DADDY!!" at my friend's husband as he walked in the door ... LOL Gave everyone there a good laugh.

My pre-k students call me mom all the time. DH says he gets called mom by his 3rd graders haha
