Charlie has started telling me to "stop talking"! Sometimes he even tells me to stop singing! I mean yah, my singing voice isn't that great... but come on kid, cut me some slack!
Does your LO ever tell you to stop talking or singing... or just to outright "be quiet"?

I had DD over at my bil's one day. Our niece is 4. Well DD was inconsolable and upset. Our niece tells sil, "the baby is hurting my ears. I am not mad with the baby Vivian but it hurts. Why doesn't she stop crying?" Haha.
It made Me laugh.

LO can't talk but if she's bored or annoyed with me, she tries to gauge out my eyes.

@mrbee: well she's 4 now, so I tell her it's not very nice. but when she was younger I kept singing - hahaha i'm evil, but this is how it went:
me: clean up, clean up!
her: NO! NO SINGING! STOP SINGING!
me: everybody, everywhere!
her: NO SINGING!
me: quick quick and clean! then I will stop singing!
i'm rotten. but most of the time it worked!

@mrbee: yes, exactly! or I sang louder like it was the most exciting song to ever sing in my lifetime. and that just confused her because I didn't really react to her bossing me.

DD tells my husband and I, "No talking, mommy/daddy!" Right now, we tell her we're not talking to her and then continue the conversation with each other instead. If I'm alone, I tell her I'm talking to myself and keep on.

My niece used to tell me "Aunt Jessie you are too loud, use your indoor voice!" The first time made me laugh because this is my mom's famous saying!

DD only tells me in the car when I'm singing along with the radio (and I'm a pretty good singer). She'll say, "Mama, be quiet. I want to sing it by myself." I always keep singing until she says please.
