Charlie has been waking up in an awful mood lately... he'll cry and reject every suggestion I make. It's kind of like he's throwing a tantrum, except he's not really mad about anything in particular.
Then something will distract him, and he'll go back to being his usual friendly self. WTH?!

Sometimes he wakes up from naps in a bad mood, but I've come to realize is because he hasn't slept enough. My boy needs his beauty sleep.

@Mrs. Sunglasses: Yah I think that's a big factor too! But what can we do as parents... he usually refuses to even consider staying in bed!
And if I just leave him there, he will come storming out and sit down in his chair and just cry while he lectures me on how he doesn't want me and how I should just leave.

My poor LO wakes up from naps in the crankiest of moods. He only wants to be held and after about 15 minutes he will return to his normal self. I'm hoping that he will outgrow this eventually (he is 15 months old).

Agree w/@Mrs. Sunglasses. LO almost always wakes up chipper except when she hasn't slept enough.

Yup, that happens a lot with his naps because I often have to wake him up. Sometimes he spends the entire time playing in his room and falls asleep just before he is supposed to get up.

Sometimes LO wakes up so cranky and terrible but she just needs a few minutes of cuddles (on her terms, not mine) and lap-sitting.

It is usually after a nap in the car so I have been preventing her from napping there anymore. I would rather have her not nap than be cranky after a nap and she doesn't snap out of it quickly either.
