He started moving around since he got mobile months ago, but the last few wks (he turns one in two days!! :O) he's been crying/shrieking through them!!! Very rarely can we get him still without a toy or treat and lots of singing/dancing. It's become a 2 person job!! Is this normal?

Mine does that in the mornings after she wakes up and I'm not really sure why. She screams through most of the change and tries to roll herself off of the table, giving me a heart attack in the process!

This happened at the exact time to us, she SCREAMED whenever we tried and would flip flop & try to get away. Now it's 50/50 on her reaction, she might not care or she might try to run away! It's a phase (I hope!! )

DS is only 4 months, but when he was a newborn, he absolutely HATED diaper changes. He'd be totally happy, chill baby, but the moment you started taking his diaper off, he'd be hysterical. Screaming and crying at the top of his lungs until you were finished. He was born in the summer so it definitely wasn't because it was cold out! Starting at 2 months, he was totally okay with diaper changes! he actually LOVES it. He always smiles when I tell him I'm about to change his diaper so he'll be all fresh and clean. Not looking forward to when he starts being more mobile and not liking changes again!

Oh yes, M goes Bananas when it's time to change her diaper. She is FAR too busy!!!

My son is having privacy issues, so he only allows certain folks to change him.

Yes! Changing LO's diaper has defnitely become a project most of the time. Not only does he like to turn over, but he will not even sit still if we try to put the diaper on while he stands. It's pretty funny, actually

Yep, it's gotten worse since he turned 12 months old. Lately, he all out screams during it. My Sesame Street playlist is in heavy rotation for diaper changes these days. He used to like getting his teeth brushed at night too. Now, it's become a struggle. I worry about his teeth more now.

So far DD enjoys diaper changes. She fusses when her diaper is dirty and smiles and coos when we change her. Love those moments!
