My DDs both hate it, especially my eldest. Used to make bathtime so stressful! She's better now, but I can tell when she goes swimming, she still hates going underwater.
Anyone else with a similar issue? What do you do about it?

It doesn't bother her to have water poured over her head, but she's just figured out that she can stick her face in the water at bath time. It makes her so mad, but she continues to do it.

She doesn't love it. She'll make a face, but not cry.

doesn't bother her yet! she's only 6 months, but I try to let some drip in her eyes/on her face to get her used to it. lol.

My LO is just now 7 months and doesn't fuss when I get water in her face. . . which is great, because I have done it during almost every bath! >.<

DD hates having water poured over her head at bath time but we got her to the point where she holds a small washcloth over her eyes and she gets through it and wipes her face immediately after it's over. She hates going underwater for swimming too, but I remember being like that as a kid too. Maybe she will become more comfortable by blowing bubbles on the surface, all those kinds of things they do in the beginners' lessons?

@mediagirl: it started up for both of them at around 18 months!

It doesn't bother her yet (only 6 months old) if some gets in during bathtime, she just blinks really fast.

@T-Mom: we will work on blowing bubbles at bath time! we do the washcloth thing too!!

Both of them dislike it! DS always more though. He covers his face with a wash cloth when I wash his hair and it seems to help.
