My LO has such cold feet but she hates shoes and socks! She pulls socks off and freaks out when I try to put shoes on her. She even gets mad when I put her foot into her footed sleepers.
Do your LOs hate things on their feet?

She hates wearing socks at home and never does. When we're in the car, she takes off her shoes...And sometimes her socks, too. It makes me anxious especially since winter is coming (how can I say winter is coming when fall hasn't even arrived???)...Last winter, when she was just over a year old, there were many times we'd reach our destination and she'd be barefeet. GAH!

Olive is going through a phase of hating shoes right now. She says all shoes hurt because she doesn't want to wear them. The only shoes she will wear are crocs and elmo shoes.
It could be a sensory thing, or it could be that your lo just likes taking off her socks and shoes -- that's very common!

DS is six months and doesn't like having socks on. On the rare occasion he has them on he just tries to pull them off. He better get used to it as winter is coming

In the 5-10 minutes that it takes to get to daycare, LO has her socks off if I don't put shoes on her. If I do put shoes on her, she'll try to take those off. The only shoes that stop her are velcro sneakers. Those she just tries to chew on. I've the same winter fear as you. Would rainboots work since they are so tall?

@Mrs. Bee: I think it might be sensory since she gets mad even before I put the shoes on. Maybe I need to try a bigger size shoe.

@sunny: a looser shoe should help. my friend's daughter has severe sensory issues when it comes to her shoes, and she absolutely refuses to wear any shoes other than crocs.

My LO couldn't stand to be in socks until he was a toddler. He also had sweaty feet and would tear them off as soon as I put them on him. He never had any issues with shoes, although he does like to take them off in the car if he is sleepy and ready for a nap.
