yes! every time we ask her who her best friend is she always names the same girl in her class. hopefully its mutual haha. but its cute esp bc i know dd can be reserved at times so i love seeing her play with her friends!

She had two: one was from her first nanny share (which reminds me we need to set up a play date) and the other is from her second nanny share but they just moved out of state. I don't think she has a best friend at school yet, she seems to like all of the girls in her classroom equally.

Oh yes. It's a little girl, in his preschool class. Every day he has to hug her goodbye, and they always wave at the window. Yesterday I was talking to him in the car on the drive home and he was telling me that she going to come home with us in our car, and was going to sit in his lap in his car seat, and then told me he loves her.
Their teacher tells me they are attached at the hip. The teachers won't sit them next to each other at lunch anymore because they feed each other, and during circle time the lead teacher always has to keep redirecting their attention to herself because they are just to busy staring at each other. Young, young love
It's going to break my heart when they go to different schools.

Awww so cute!!!
Yes, she has two and they've all been in the same room since they were infants. They are so cute! They hug each other in the morning and when they each leave and it's usually a group hug!
I've made an effort to reach out to the mom of one so they can kee in contact when they start school. We never see the other mom because she comes in before us and leaves after us.

Just each other, although Alice uses the sign for friend when we talk about her cousins!

yep! my best friend had a boy 10 months after J was born
they live 1.5 hours away, so we don't get together as much as we'd like but they're best buds

They've been BFFs since they were babies Seriously they've always had a connection, born 11 days apart. DH's best friend's little girl, they love each other.

yes and she started at a different DCP last month - DD misses her so much!! They have a playdate scheduled for Sunday

Yes, she stopped attending daycare since this summer (I think she just got a new baby sibling and her parents are on leave). DD still tells me she misses her

Not really although there's a girl at his daycare that he gets into a tiff with every single day that DH and I joke about them being married one day.
Meanwhile, my BFF has a lil boy that's 14 months younger than DS and we hope they become BFFs like their mommies even though we live in different states! That'd be so cool!!

Not really! He loves his friends at school but all his teachers say he basically plays with anyone/everyone. My BFF's daughter and him are pretty close though

@oliviaoblivia: oh my gosh, it is next month!
So yes, she does, but we are moving away at the end of next month. It's heartbreaking.

Yes, and she (the best friend) is about to move away...I haven't broken it to LO yet; I feel so sad for her!

my LO hasn't mentioned a best friend, but if it is any consolation to those with BFFs moving away, i actually remember my first best friend from when i was 5 years old. She moved away by the time we were six and i was upset, but i did move on and make new best friends. I still remember her though very fondly. even tried looking her up on facebook but i don't know her last name!

Not yet.... She just started preschool a couple of weeks ago and only attends six hours per week, so she hasn't really formed any friendships yet (today was her fifth session). There is a little boy though who is quite attached to her - he always goes out of his way to say goodbye to her, but she doesn't really acknowledge him without prompting yet. It is super cute!

Hopefully! We just met a neighbor last week that has a little girl who is 2 weeks younger than DS, so we've been getting them together to play.
I also have another friend with a girl 2 weeks younger than DS, but we don't get together too often due to her work schedule.

Yes, he has two best friends. Unfortunately, we will be moving the summer.

She has 2, though today, driving home from school she piped up from the back and randomly said, "mom, you're my best friend."

No best friends yet. DS is really shy and prefers interacting with the teachers at school. It's hard for him to connect with kids his age. We went to my niece's birthday party recently and he met her neighbor. They both hit it off, and it was so nice to see him comfortable with a new friend. I only wish he could form friendships so easily at school.
