I don't think all kids have them?
Here's a funny story: My oldest siter and I have mirrored birthmarks; hers is on her forehead and goes over her left eye, and mine is on my forehead and goes over my right eye. Also, my kids have mirrored birthmarks! DD's is a little pinprick on the left side of her nose, and DS's is a little pinprick on the right side of his nose. (DS has a little pinprick on the inside of his right thigh, as well).

She has at least one. I know the one that was on her thigh seems to have faded a bit. She still has one on her back and one on her ribs though (she has one on her right ribs, I have one on my left). I'm not sure if all babies have them, I don't know of any that my DH has.
Edit: She also has what looks like a little pin prick on her ear, I forgot about that until reading the first response.

DH and LO have matching birthmarks! DH's is a lot darker but they are in the exact same spot.

@sweetkate: Same here! DH was so excited when he realized DD had the same birthmark. The pediatrician said we had to watch it for changes in size or color though, and may need to see a dermatologist.

@Chastenet: It's so weird how that happens! I don't have any birthmarks. We have to keep an eye on ours too.

Yup. She has a little red circle on her inner thigh.

She has a small black blotch on her back. It is getting smaller!

With so many babies who have matching birthmarks, I wonder if some of them are genetic? It's suprising that so many of our babies have birthmarks that match an immediate family member!

DS has a birthmark on his butt cheek! It's so cute! I always say it's an angel kiss. He also has two strawberry hemangiomas that are pretty small and almost gone.
