My daughter's favorite shoes died a horrible death this past weekend. They were well loved before we got them and one day she went to put them on and said, "Mommy, my shoes are broken." She was pulling the inserts out in pieces.

At least it looks like you got your money's worth!!
She loves these blue iplay water shoes. They are still a little big and make her trip so I only let her wear them when we are actually playing in water- I have to hide them otherwise.

Blake loves his new stride rite dress sandals. He brings them to me and struts around like he is hot stuff. On the flip side, Alice effing hates her new salt waters. The only shoes she consents to wearing are Robeez or her pink athletic sandals.

Sorry for the thread jack, but I've been meaning to ask...
@autumnlove: and @Foodnerd81: Are your LOs able to wear the natives (and natives-like) without socks? I really want to buy a pair but I feel like DS's feet will be a sweaty sticky mess.

Yes my son does. His friend at daycare's shoes
His teachers tell me often that he gets upset because he likes his friends shoes, but I don't want to be buying him new stuff every time he likes someone else's. He has great shoes and I usually leave a choice for him at daycare but I can't be buying more shoes, hats, shirts etc... when he likes someone else's better. He's a silly boy with a shoe obsession lol.
Besides that though, he always wants to wear the opposite kind of shoe that is ideal ie. rubber boots when it's 100 degrees, sandals when its cold, water shoes in the house on the hardwood (aka stick and trip).

The completely unsupportive ON jelly maryjanes. I had an APB out for the next size up when I realized they were sold out.

@BadgerMom: My son wears his without socks and he doesn't have a problem with sweaty feet. I have a pair of Natives, too, and my feet don't sweat at all in them. For comparison, my toms are really smelly so it's not like I have lovely non-sweating feet! They are really comfy too.

@twodoghouse: Awesome! Good to know. Yeah my Toms... I can't even be in the same room with them after I take them off. Ha!

@Foodnerd81: @autumnlove: I've been looking into shoes like those and am wondering if my daughter will wear them. They would be perfect for water day at school.

@twodoghouse: that's pretty much what M
looked like in her new Saltwaters. I had to sell them.

@oliviaoblivia: same with R! I bought the next size up as well bonus (or negative?) is that DS loves to sniff them since they smell like strawberries.

@BadgerMom: yup without socks, and her feet never seem sweaty. But to be fair I don't think she has particularly sweaty feet (unlike her mom and dad).
@mediagirl: she loves them. But they only come in whole sizes (at least the iplay knock off ones) and run big, so she has tripped a bunch of times. But I think it's because they have been too big.

@mediagirl: we got a cheap pair from ON. She wears them for water day.

She loves her Mini Melissa Bear Shoes...mainly bc they have a Velcro closure and she can put them on by herself:)

He only ever wants to wear his Natives! Can't blame him, they seem really comfy and are perfect for hot days.

W is obsessed with her rain boots and a pair of pink sandals we got at Marshalls.
M IS OBSESSED with her Croc Keeley sandals and they're the only shoes she will wear.

K is very particular about her shoes and has daily opinions on which ones to wear. Her go to faves are usually her purple FP moccs, gold Saltwater sandals, or Mini Melissa bow shoes. It sounds crazy, but she really does choose them herself. lol

It really depends on the day. Last weekend it was her Hunter boots. In 95+ heat, I don't know how she wore them. This week she wanted to wear her closed toe sandals to school. No socks Mama, no socks, when I tried to put her sneakers on her. She loves her pink ON shoes that look like Natives.

Not really, but he does have a preference on which shoe he wants to wear that day. If I try to put on a different pair then what he chose, he'll throw a fit. Sigh.

Not a favorite but his preference changes depending on the day. Usually his go to are his natives or toms

She is certainly opinionated on her shoes but it changes day to day what she wants to wear. Though we did have a stage where all she wanted to wear were her L&L Pios. "I WEAR MY BIRDIE SHOES!!!" Luckily they were silver so they matched pretty much everything so I didn't fight her on it.
