Nope! This is one reason that we didn't announce her name til she was born. She got a blanket with her initials and some burp cloths after but that is all.

We have a blanket and a couple other odds and ends with her name on it not a lot. However, we are getting E an anywhere chair with her name on it for Christmas. I had the same mindset as you and we will get child number two his/her own chair to match and I wanted this to be "her" chair.

I don't have anything against it but we don't have a lot of personalized stuff, just so it can be used in the future! But I think I'd be okay with getting a personalized Anywhere chair because you could always get a new slipcover for it for future LO's! That's what my sister did for her kids, but they are 4 years apart so the older one had outgrown it by the time her little brother started using the chair.

We don't have any personalized items for LO. DH did write LO's name in permanent marker underneath one of his toy dump trucks. He tried to do it again with a set of construction vehicles, and I stopped him because I didn't feel it was fair for LO2. Instead DH wrote our last name underneath the vehicles.

We have a hand made quilt with her name on it, and DIY'd a closepin banner in her nursery.

I think you should get his name on the anywhere chair! You could just get a new cover for future LOs or get them their own...L may love his so much that he won't want to give it up!

We have a few things with M's name on them. I ordered a stroller blanket from PBK with her name on it (we used this to reveal her name at my baby shower) but everything else has been gifted--burp cloths, a lovey and a diaper cover.

Hardly anything, he does have the PBK chair with his name on it though. That is clearly his spot so he wouldn't accept anyone else sitting in it!

eta: monogramming/personalizing is my "thing" though...I didn't have a lot of choice growing up, I have an uncommon name, lol, so I wanted to make sure my son had at least one thing with his name on it.

My little one just got her first personalized gift yesterday. It's a stuffed bunny with a dress that has her name embroidered on it

@hilsy85: We don't have anything personalized, but so funny you'd post this! I want to get C an Anywhere chair for Christmas, and I was debating personalizing, too. I think we're going to since it's going to be his chair. If we have other kids, and they like it, we could get one personalized for them, too. We're probably getting C a boyish one, and I know if we had a girl in the future, I'd want to get her a pink/girly one for fun

Our LO has a blanket with her name/birth info on it. That's the only thing she has with her name/initials though.

He has one pair of shorts with a D on the butt, but I didn't buy them - they were part of my VIP swag bag at Mommy-con Philly!

My kids both have personalized blankets which were really nice gifts. But I don't tend to buy anything personalized. I'm a freak and I always worry about strangers knowing my children's names (on backpacks, lunch bags, clothes). A close friend of mine was carrying around a lunch bag from PBK that her daughter's name on it. And some creep at the park started calling her daughter by her first name! Ever since then, she stopped carrying around anything with their names on them. Using things inside your home is totally fine of course!

LO doesn't have anything personalized! I am sure his grandma will get him something personalized eventually though, she likes stuff like that. I've never thought of it. I probably wouldn't do it on a chair though so it can be used by future kids and/or sold in the future.

Nothing. I bought her a little sachet with her initial for the door and she has a book that has her name on it, but only because her name is common, it's not personalized (which, btw, I have not seen in forever).

I think personalized items are so cute but will only get it done for items around the home like blankets and chairs. Due to stranger danger issues, I don't want LO's name displayed on a back pack. Here is a link on how to teach kids about strangers:
