Both kids used pacifiers. DD1 sleeps with a stuffed Elmo. DD2 has taken to sleeping with and carting around a stuffed pig. I think it's adorable. Does your LO have a lovey?

My 3 yo has had various things she gets attached to- started with a real lovey, then different stuffed animals, and lately it's a plastic elsa nightlight. She sleeps with this plastic figurine instead of the super soft stuffed bunny.
The ten month old has a couple angel dear loveys that she searches for as soon as I put her in thecrib.

My (almost) 18mo has been attached to a terrycloth footie jammies that never fit her well & I'd had in a pile meant for goodwill. She's used this as her lovey for quite a long time, now.

My 3yo has two. His bear, which he's been attached to since around 4 months, and ever since this summer, his elephant. He interacts with both of them, it is so adorable.

DD has 2, a blankey and a "pillow pet" dog. They go to daycare every day and to bed every night. I can barely wash them... ugh

B has a stuffed fox named Fox. Weston has a giraffe Wubbanub that we have on hand at all times but I don't think he's all that attached to him. I want to buy him the Jellycat dinosaur and get him to love it.

Yes, it's a lovey from Aden & Anais. He's had it since he was a few months old, and now he wants it with him all the time! My oldest son never really attached to any object. I think I was his lovey haha

He has a tag blanket that is the closest thing to a lovey. We don't let him sleep with it, but it has a calming effect that rivals his sucking his fingers.

DS has an Aden and Anais lovey and an Aden and Anais "blank", i.e., swaddling blanket that he sleeps with every night. He also brings them to daycare for his naps. We have 2 identical of the former and a 4-pack of the latter, so we can wash them. Luckily, he doesn't drag them around besides having them for naps/bedtime.

@Ajsmommy: yeah, Elmo gets a bath sometimes. DD2 has been carting "pig" around for 2.5 months now, parts of him are now black instead of pink but I've not had a chance to wash him! It's pretty gross.

@Mrs. Sunshine: I laugh bc her blankey has one side that's "supposed" to be yellow.. yeah.. it's more like a dingy goldish brown now

My oldest (3.5) has a duck that she sleeps with every night. If she doesn't have it, she won't sleep. We don't have a backup anymore and they don't make them, so I hope nothing happens to it.
My youngest has this super ugly baby that my sisters boyfriends mom gave her. She has to have it for bedtime too.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Sort of. He sleeps with a fluffy stuffed dog every night but IDK if he would care if I removed it or anything.

@MrsB2012: Totally read that as "my youngest is a super ugly baby" and I thought, well thats not very nice! LOL. I need more sleep. TGIF ...

Yes... She has her binkies (paci) and also the rabbit thumbie from PBK that she will never ever let go of. She only likes this one; I got an identical one and it's too new/clean for her lol.

My 2.5 year old has: "bear", "monkey" (curious George), "flamingo", and "yellow blanket" (a second-hand receiving blanket). She needs them all to sleep. We have a duplicate bear and yellow blanket, which have been life savers.

She has a couple stuffies she sleeps with at night. Almost always piglet, and then there are a few others that are more interchangeable. She usually "needs" a stuffie too when we leave home, but she varies which one she wants.

@wrkbrk: hahaha, no my youngest is pretty adorable, not super ugly. But seriously, you should see this baby, it's so ugly and cheap, I'm sure it's from the dollar store, but she's obsessed!
