No play room at our apt.
Our new house will have one though! Can't wait!

I wish!! He has his bedroom, which is a nice size for an apartment!

Nope. Part of the dining room is their play area. They also play in the basement.

No playroom in our house. Growing up I managed with all my toys in my room and an area behind the family room seating with a toy chest. I'm hoping to convince DH to let me put in a closet system so all LOs clothes fit in there. This way space used for a dresser in the bedroom can be used for more play area.

Nope, but our new house (if all of the negotiations work out) will have one.

Yes but we didn't set it up until LO was 20 months old. He loves it and spends most of his time there playing with his train table.

Nope... doesn't even have its own bedroom, so definitely no playroom.

Yes... But he hasn't used it too much yet. I need to set up a foscam in it too. He should be using it full time when he starts to walk. Too many things in there he can't reach well (without help) because is is only crawling (not pulling up either).

Yes, but it is also my office and our guest room. FWIW, we don't keep any toys or books in his room.

Yes...the front room of our house is LO's playroom...it is equivalent to what most people use as their formal living room.

DS has a play area. I think it's intended to be a breakfast nook. I like it though. I can see him perfectly from the living room and also from the kitchen (for the most part).

@sandy: I wanted to leave either our dining room or living room empty for the purpose of a play area (both rooms are very open), but alas the rooms have a table and couch in them.

Half of the family room is her play area. DH likes that we can all be in the same room.

We currently have a play area, and are turning our game room into a play room.

Yes, but long story, it is full of some toys and some other stuff (we bought the model home with all the furniture in it) and we need to get rid of some of it so it can be a playroom for a preschooler and toddler, not school aged kids. Right now we do most of our playing downstairs in the family room.

Yep, one of the extra bedrooms is a playroom. It's nice to have a repository for all of the enormous, brightly colored kids' stuff!

Lala's room is our playroom. She doesn't sleep in it, so there's not even a bed in there. Part of our dining room is also a playroom.

We have an enclosed patio that we use as their playroom.

Nope. His bedroom or the play yard in the living room while he's small will double as a "play room".
