No schedule here! I still just follow her cues and feed her when she's hungry and let her sleep when she's tired.

We have a loose schedule (nap 2-3 hours after wake up, another nap 2-3 hours after that nap and bedtime between 7 and 8 depending on DH's work schedule).

No set schedule. Naps every 1.5-2 hrs and feeding when she either gets cranky or if it has been awhile.

No set schedule. She is not a schedule baby. Which makes her type A mama very stressed!

She has a pretty set schedule now but I think it's because she's a very consistent napper. Otherwise our schedule would be all over the place.

No schedule. As long as I feel she's getting enough i deal with it. Sometimes she sleeps at night sometimes not so much.

No schedule here....glad you posted this because I was starting to feel like I was the only one!

Loose schedule. He generally nurses every 3 hours. And is up for 2-3 hours between naps. And bedtime is usually 7-8 pm

Very strict schedule with the first, but very loosey goosey with the 2nd. I let him sleep whenever... if he seems hungry I feed him... etc. Good thing he's a chill baby and doesn't get cranky if he misses a nap or something.

We (nanny child and I) have a good schedule. I find I function well on them. That said we can be flexible, mostly because she is so easy going. The parent are more go with the flow than me.

we have a pretty consistent schedule. lo eats and sleeps around the same times every day. when we veer off his schedule he is noticeably more cranky and doesn't sleep nearly as well at night.

no schedule, but we follow EASY. i do try to have a set wake up time though! it fails when i'm exhausted.

I'd say it's rigid. But it doesn't take much effort on my part. He is just very consistent.

We have a loose schedule. Down for a nap every 2-3-4 hours (or 2, or 3, or 1.5, depending on him). He still nurses on demand, but almost always right before and right after a nap. He goes to bed at 9.

Now that I'm getting ready to go back to work, we are starting to keep the twins on a loose schedule as it will be the easiest thing for my au pair. Wake up time will be set then follow EASY schedule. Right now their awake period is just 1.5 - 2 hours before they get fussy.

We do somewhat, now that he's 8 months. When he was 3, 4 months we just followed his cues. He's been in daycare, so that helps somewhat, especially naps.
We're up around 6am, nap around 8-9am, 12-1pm, and maybe a 4pm nap, too. He eats whenever he acts like he's hungry. Bedtime is more structured. 6pm dinner, 6:30 bath, asleep by 7pm.
We're flexible for things though. We'll be camping this weekend and I doubt we'll stick to the "typical" day.

We would have a consistent schedule if his naps were consistent He is usually up around 6:30, nurses at 7a/11a/3p/6p/2a, and naps around 9, 1, and sometimes 4:30.

We've just started on a more consistent routine since Miss A was 6.5 months in the hope of coping with a developmental explosion and assisting her to sleep better at night. A is a very active baby and we both found the transition from a sedentary baby to a mobile one pretty tough!
I had some help from a postnatal advisor in drafting a routine but it's also something I'd been thinking about for a couple of months.
We generally start our day somewhere between 0715 and 0745 which puts the first nap at 0930-1000, A will most often sleep around two hours and wake again at around noon at which time we have lunch and do any errands or activities. She goes back down for her second nap at around 1500 and will then sleep till 1600 which puts bedtime around 1930-2000. I still nurse on demand (usually upon wakeup and just before a nap) and we do solids at mealtimes.
Prior to having a routine in place we kept missing the optimum nap times which kept pushing bedtime, and therefore morning wakeup time, later. Now with her routine I know that LO gets some quality sleep during the day and I get a much needed opportunity to catch up on chores and me-time!

We have a set bedtime schedule, but her naps are all over the place...sometimes long, sometimes short, sometimes she'll take five in a day others just three. I should get on that.

No schedule, put her down for naps every 1.4-2 hr, eat every 2-3, try and do bath and bed time around the same time.

A schedule, but he kind of fell into it...it's only become more scheduled in the last month and a half, since his naps became consistent.
I don't really get how you don't have any schedule...does that mean your baby never naps at consistent times/doesn't have the same awake times? Those are the main things that drive our "schedule", along with nursing upon wake up and solids at meal time.

it's pretty set! we all love it cause it's so predictable and i can plan around his schedule easily. weekends (esp sundays) are looser though -- we aren't afraid of being flexible with his schedule, but stick to it when we can!
he's also good at sleeping not-at-home, as long as there is a playpen in a dark room. fortunately it doesn't have to be too quiet. for example, the last 2 nights we've had dinner at friends' homes and put him down there at bedtime, then when we leave hours later just transfer him. he wakes up but i think he thinks it;s all a dream or something haha hopefully it keeps working!

Schedule. When she was a baby and cried I didn't always know if it was a tired or hungry cry. A schedule helped with that.

We have had a good schedule for the past few months (8 months now) and it has helped so much. I followed her cues at first and then just kind of turned her daily patterns into a schedule. It's so nice to know what to expect.

We have a pretty loose schedule. She normally wakes between 6 and 6:30, first long nap around 8:30/9, second long nap around 12:30/1, third cat nap around 4, and bedtime around 7. She nurses pretty frequently, before and after every nap, sometimes more! She does better on a schedule, she loves consistency.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
She usually goes to bed between 7-8 and wakes between 6:30-8. She takes 2-3 naps, but not really at specific times... I just follow her lead.
grapefruit / 4006 posts
she gets fed every 3 hours or when she is hungry, whichever comes earlier. her naps are all over the place though. thats the extent of her schedule.

My LO wakes up everyday at sunrise (grrrr ...). Usually is up for 2-3 hours, then falls asleep for anywhere from 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. We try to get him to bed by 8pm. He's not a good napper, so the rest of the day we just go with the flow!
