I like it and he likes it, but it's not the one I personally would have picked. It does the job though, so yay!
ETA: This is the kind of workbench you're talking about right? Or am I way in left field?

My mother in law had a great one, it was all wood, but EXPENSIVE! To me, the best part isn't the workbench itself, it was the tools and the wood pieces/screws to build stuff.

My DS had a work bench but he rarely used it.
Now that is he older though he loves to use real hammers and nails so DH built him a small wooden work bench in the garage
