LO isn't here just yet, but when she is she'll have 2 girl cousins not too much older than her.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
Yes! Two (niece is 2 and nephew is 9 months), but we'll live so far away.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
I am confident if our LO arrives in the next 3-4 years he/ she will not have any first cousins.

She has two cousins (DHs side - his brothers son & stepson) but she doesn't see them. No one is speaking to us.
persimmon / 1171 posts
She has one 5 months older and one 1 month younger (:
I'm so excited to see the girls grow up together (:
On her dad's side she has a cousin two years older, but we don't see her as often
pear / 1554 posts
She has 3. One is already a teenager, one is 3.5 and the last one is a couple months younger than E. They all live in the states on opposite coasts. E has met the teenage cousin only.

DS has a cousin who is 2 years younger than him. She lives with my brother in PA. He also has a couple cousins on his dad's side.
honeydew / 7811 posts
@autumnlove: on my side of the family, just my nephew and they are 13 years apart!
Technically he has 4 cousins from DH's brother. Their relationship is strained though so I've never met any of the kids, and they live on the opposite coast too.

Yep! Two boy cousins on each side. My cousins all have children as well, she has 8 2nd cousins
pineapple / 12526 posts
Yes, they are all much older though. She has DHs cousins kids, who are 6 and 8, and then another cousin whose kids are 9 and like 12/13. She has my cousin's daughter, who is nearly 7 and she has my niece, who is 14.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Yes. My SIL has two children - a 7 year old boy and a 1 year old girl, which is really nice, because Xander and the girl are only 9 months apart!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
Nope DH is an only child and my sister isn't close to having kids.
He will have some 3rd cousins though.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
She loves her cousins! She has an 8 year old cousin that lives two hours away, and an 8 month old cousin that my mom nannies for so we see her at least 3 times a week. She's always asking for them both
honeydew / 7917 posts
Yes! My sisters are 9-13 years older than me, and I ended up being the first to be pregnant. My sisters quickly followed 4.5 and 17 months later. They both love nearby, and LO loves his cousins.
grapefruit / 4671 posts
She has 2. My nephew is 4 and my niece is almost months so only a few weeks younger than DD. unfortunately, they live in London so she'll only get to see them once a year.
pomelo / 5720 posts
Yes! we were so lucky that my sister had boy/girl twins 3 weeks after we did and my SIL had a baby girl 5 weeks after us. We see them frequently and I am so happy LO will grow up with so many same-age cousins around!

No And I doubt he ever will. DH is an only child and my brother isn't really on the track to marraige and babies. Maybe one day he will have children... I hope so!

Not yet but my Bro and SIL are expecting and their baby is due the day before my LO's 1st bday!! The don't live close but my family travels to see each other a lot.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
2 on DH's side and 4 on my side. None are close enough for constant interaction.
cherry / 165 posts
I don't have a LO yet, but when I do they will have a TON of cousins! My 6 brothers and sisters have 14 kids between them! 9 of them are local and we regularly see them. DH's brother has no kids currently.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
Yep - five & on one the way! Four & the one on the way are local, and the other is about an hour & a half away.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
3 so far! Another one will be added to the mix soon and one of DH's cousins isn't married yet. We count second cousins
nectarine / 2797 posts
Yes, but they are all much older (DH's half sibling's kids) and probably will never meet her.
grapefruit / 4923 posts
no cousins, and i don't anticipate LO having any. answering this question made me think more about having a second LO!
persimmon / 1165 posts
K has 4 cousins, 3 of them are under the age of 2. Unfortunately, the closest one is 100 miles away and the other three live a plane ride away.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Yep, 6! Already 3 times as many as I had! Two of them (ages 11 and 8) live in the same area, the other 4 live about an hour and a half away. She will also have 2 2nd cousins that we are pretty close to, who are only a couple years older than her.
pineapple / 12793 posts
18. Seven cousins once removed and another on the way.
The seven young ones are fairly local and are all under five. I think it'll be fun for her to have them as she grows.
honeydew / 7283 posts
She has three cousins (7, 5 and 2.5) and because we have 6 siblings who haven't married / had kids yet she will likely have many more! It makes me happy for her because I only had 2 first cousins and it would have been nice to have more.
pomegranate / 3204 posts
He has two older boy cousins and will have a girl cousin in September!
grapefruit / 4671 posts
@oliviaoblivia: She is so lucky, they are going to have such a blast growing up! I have 23 first cousins and that is just on my mum's side! Growing up with them was amazing.
clementine / 896 posts
My boys have 5 cousins, and we are expecting another cousin in a few months! They're all pretty close in age too which is so nice!
pear / 1861 posts
She has a ton of 2nd cousins, but no first cousins from my side. he dad's side she has 2 first cousins.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Yes, she has 3 girl cousins on my side (with a boy due at the end of next month) and 1 girl cousin on DH's side. Plus tons and tons of second cousins that we see often too! We are blessed to have extended family close by!
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
Yeppers, SIL has 2 kiddos and they all live within an hour of home. We all get together about once/month. She also has an honorary cousin (aka my BFF's son) we call ourselves auntie and uncle, the kids cousins etc. I hope my sister has baby some day too!
coconut / 8861 posts
He's got three cousins: my two nephews and a niece. DH was trying to qualify his cousins as "second cousins," but I don't think that's correct. There's another great grandchild in his family which I think would qualify her as LO's second cousin.
