I don't have a LO, but my great grandmother is still alive. She is 80 and I expect she will still be alive when I do have a baby (hopefully soon).

Yes, he has both of our moms' parents around. He just met my grandparents last week and we will be skyping with my husband's grandparents next weekend.

We really wish he could have met my husband's grandmother on his dad's side, she would have been so happy that we finally had a baby, she used to ask each time we would see her.

All my grandparents are still alive. Sort of. My paternal grandpa has advanced Alzheimer's. He's... not himself. Most days, he wanders around like a zombie. Other days, he turns violent in the course of 10 seconds. He was having a VERY good day during my wedding, and he asked me if I'd been at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed... so he's not really here any more. My other grandma also has Alzheimer's (not NEARLY so bad), and the other grandpa has had 3 heart attacks by now. I'm... not really sure they'll have great grandparents by the time they come around.

We don't have a LO yet, but DH still has 1 grandmother and I have both my grandmothers and 1 grandfather. Hopefully, they will all still be here when we get pregnant/have a LO.

That's so cute! My baby hasn't met her greatgrandparents yet because one set is overseas and the other is quite a long driving distance away. Hopefully one day!

My guy has 2 great grandmothers, both on my side. For one of his g-grandmas, he is her 36th great grandchild.

I'm so lucky to still have my grandma, I love her so very much and so does my LO. We are lucky enough to see her at least once a week. My husband's grandma is still alive, too. We are happy that our LO will have gotten to at least meet some of our grandparents.

There has only been 1 grandparent alive *my* entire life, and no great-grandparents – my grandma is now 90 and has Alzheimer’s (though, thankfully, it isn’t too bad yet and she still recognizes us). I hope she is still alive when LO gets here, but they won’t ever have a real close relationship as she is confined to a nursing home and very fragile.

My parents had kids at older ages (mid-late 30’s), and their parents were older parents too, and I’m 30…so that doesn’t lend to having too many generations all around at once.
On the other hand, my aunt had her daughters in her late teens, they had their kids in their very early 20’s, and my “little” cousin (who is in my LO’s generation) is having her first baby in 2 months….so, that LO will have great-grandparents who are still pretty young.

Kind of weird to think that this year my dad will become a grandpa for the first time and his sister will become a great-grandma.

my LOs will have 1 great-grandparent (if she's still around when the babies are born). but she's in korea. most likely might not meet the babies. we'll see. she's not in great health and i can't see myself going to korea anytime soon.
