My two year old is terrible at being quiet, if we are walking up to her room and her sister is sleeping I swear she makes it a point to be loud. I know she is only two, but curious when they finally learn to be quiet when asked.

Yes he usually does actually, which is odd considering he doesn't understand a ton of commands/requests. But we practice "shhhh" in the hallway while waiting for the elevator.

DD was super good at being quiet as soon as DS was born. She was 20 months old.
DS is just starting to understand how to whisper and be quiet. He's 26 months old.

She knows how, but she doesn't apply that knowledge all the time 
She'll whisper if we're playing with her dolls and they're sleeping, but she doesn't seem to remember how to whisper when we're in church - even if I remind her 
ETA: She's 2.

She's 2 1/2 and she know but doesn't always apply. I will "shhhh" and she goes "shhh MOMMY WE BE QUIET" in a not quiet voice

um, yeah. she goes right in C's face and yells "C's awake!!!"
yeah, now she is! thanks. grrrrr.
she is NOT understanding inside/outside voice, whispering, etc.

She knows how to be quiet and often tries to be quiet (and demands others be quiet) at appropriate times…but is kind of hilarious about it. Say I’m still in bed and she and DH come back into the bedroom. I’ll hear her tell DH “we have to be quiet, mama is sleeping!” or boss the cat around to “be quiet, mama is sleeping” but then like 2 second later in a totally loud voice: “oh dada, can I watch tv?!” lol
