Our youngest didn't mind the carousel, but our eldest cried last year when we went on it! (He was 3 and change at the time.) I was surprised, because he is usually pretty brave. I think if I had done a better job preparing him emotionally, he would've loved it... I just figured he would be fine and plopped him on my lap in a carousel sleigh. Learned my lesson!

Oh hell to the no. My hubs tried to take her on the one at the mall and she freaked out when she was on a horse. He had to sit in one of the sleighs with her clinging to him for dear life.

He liked it but didn't love it on Friday. (16 mo). However, he surprised the heck out of us by riding the kiddie boat by himself!

@mrbee: my LO just tried one for the first time today (little one at the mall) and the answer to your question is a big fat NO! He screamed instantly! Bloody murder! My mom was with us and said I was like that as a kid too, scared of everything.

My 2 year old LOVES it and has loved it from the first time she rode it. We went to a birthday party recently at a small amusement park and since the rides were unlimited, she ended up riding the carousel 13 times!!

She wouldn't even get near it at the fair. We're hoping when she's older she'll be a little more into it

D does now. But right before he turned 3, I took him to magic kingdom. We went on all the rides and he loved pirates of the carribean. Afterwards, we saw the prince's carousel and I asked him if he wanted to go on it. He said no, it looks to scary. Lol!
