My son was born with Angel's Kisses on his forehead and on both of his eyelids. He also has Stork Bites on the back of his neck. I never heard of it or seen it before my son, but everyone I've spoke to has said they are normal and the ones on his face will likely fade then disappear over time. I am finding his birthmarks adorable to be honest, but I am curious if your LO has any of these or you know anyone that has them?

i have a permanent birthmark on the back of my neck that i think probably started as a stork bite/angel kiss (i don't think i understand the difference?). it has definitely faded as i've gotten older, and is more noticeable when i am tan (it doesn't tan with me). i actually just checked some pics on google image, and that's pretty much what mine looks like - a pinker, paler spot in my olive-y skin
none on my face, though

My LO has them on one eyelid and some onthe back of her neck. I heard they would fade but she's almost 5 months and I haven't noticed a change.

She has stork bites on her neck and a little birth mark on her left leg.

@BabyBoecksMom: I heard the ones on the back of the neck usually don't fade. The ones on the face are supposed to at the very least fade by the time they are 2. Not in all cases though. We shall see!

Wagon Jr. has mongolian spots all over his back, shoulders, legs, and ankles. They have faded over time but at 2.5 years old they're still noticeable to the point where we have to explain to people that they're not bruises...!!!
I have a strawberry birthmark on my leg that is just as bright red as when I was young! Wagon Jr. likes to press on it with his little, hard fingertip and say "ouch!"

My oldest DD has the stork bite and Angel's kiss. The stork bite you can still see, but it has definately faded and when she gets really hot (she's 10)it gets darker and the Angel's kiss is just a little spot between her eyebrows at the top of her nose that you can only see when she gets mad.

DD has 3 total - one angel kiss right between her eyes/eyebrows, one on the back of her head and one at the base of her neck. The one on the back of her head is now covered with hair, the one on her neck is fading as is the one on her forehead/between her eyes. It's interesting how some people notice them and others don't. She's had them since birth but one of her daycare teachers sent home an observation report noting them while the other teacher knew exactly what they were and that they had always been there (both teachers knew LO for the same amount of time).
My niece has one on her forehead that looks like an upside down handprint, she is almost 5 and it has pretty much faded unless she gets really mad in which case it turns red.

@marriedandlovingit: i noticed that too, I'm actually looking at a black and white photo of DD i have on my desk and the one on her forehead is visible in it so I think it will be a while before that one fades (hopefully it will fade)

My nephew had an angel kiss on his eyelid, and now, at 6 months, it's gone. I don't know when it disappeared.

@purrpletulips: my DH didn't notice mine at all until we were together about 2 years, and i wear my hair up 90% of the time lol - and it's rather large, too, about the size of 2 half dollars - he's super observant haha

My niece has one on her forehead, and it is barely noticeable now at 9 months.
@mrs. wagon: My LO also has mongolian spots on his body (butt, back, and arms). My sister had them too, and they went away when she was older -- maybe around 5 or 6? It just takes some time.

My cousin in law's daughter has angel's kisses on her face (above her eyes and down through the nose). They were very visible when she was just born but I have noticed they have lighten. She's just a bit over a year old.

My female lawyer's daughter has a pretty prominent angels kiss on her forehead. She also happens to have a head full of luscious hair, so they kind of cover it up with her little bangs.

My son has a stork bite on the side of his nose. He's 15 weeks and it's faded some already. It's definitely more prominent when he's upset.
I still don't understand the difference between stork bites and angel kisses. I thought they were different names for the same thing... I guess not. -
My younger daughter has it on bilateral eyelids and the back of her neck. The medical term is "flamus nevus"

My babe had them but they're pretty much gone and/or covered by his hair. I didn't even notice when they went away but they were definitely there and now they're not.

yep, she has both. On one eyelid and on the back of her neck. The one on the back of her neck looks like the Hawaiian islands.

Both of my kids have stork bites on the backs of their necks. They also have matching birthmarks (DD's is on the left side of her nose, and DS's is on the right side of his nose)! DD's has faded quite a bit, so most people don't even notice it now.

My LO has angel kisses on her one eyelid and her forehead between her eyebrows. It's normally not too noticeable but when she cries or is mad, it gets redder. She also has a stork bite on the back of her neck. We've had issues with it getting scaley and irritated looking, so her docto gave us lotion for it.

I've never heard of these terms! My LO has a light brown birthmark on the back of her head though

@mrs. wagon: my LO has Mongolian spots n the majority of his back and butt...which is fine because it's almost always covered. But he also has them around both of his ankles! When I was at the hospital, the nurses had to tell me that they were Mongolian spots..... Not bruises from the ID band and baby LoJack!

One of my identical twin nephews had one across the bridge of his nose at eye level- it faded by the time he was around 6 months... it helped me tell them apart for a little while!
My son just had a huge bruise at the crown of his head from birth- it made me feel better that there was no chance of a baby mix up when he wasn't with us- it was pretty easy to identify him with it
