My kids don't seem to care either way! Probably related to them being opposite gender kids...

My LO doesn't care. We've mostly done same gender, but he has two bffs, one of each gender, that's he's thrilled to play with.

She doesn't care. She just want she to play with friends!

he seems to be a little more interactive during same gender playdates.

He doesn't seem to have a preference but he definitely gets more wound up with boys and more affectionate with girls. Probably not that unusual!
