My LOs wear their cotton legging style (like Carter's) pjs once and fleece one pieces twice before I wash them. They have a lot of pajamas!

She usually puts on clean PJs after bath, which is every other or every 3 days. So pjs usually get work 2-3 times.

She has Very Strong Opinions about what she wears, pjs included. So yep, she wears them a couple days in a row and often gets pretty upset with me if I put my foot down about washing them.
nectarine / 2173 posts
Yep, typically 2-3 nights out of them. I also don't wash my jammies after every use.
nectarine / 2821 posts
It depends. If his diaper leaks them no, otherwise he wears them during the day. We don't actually use pjs, he just wears leggings and sweats and long sleeve ts. We dont seem to fit well into the larger size pjs!

No, I wash them every time. Not sure why since they're both out of diapers, but I'm finding it hard to stop.
pomelo / 5607 posts
She has way, way too many clothes, so I wash them every time just so she actually wears everything a decent number of times before outgrowing them. Once she stops growing so fast or gets to a size that we don't have so much of, then I'll have her go longer. Right now I'm even changing outfits during the day just to get things worn!

Ditto @AB810! Ideally we get 2 nights out of them, but since she eats breakfast in them we sometimes only get one. I was just thinking this morning that I should start stripping her down to her diaper for breakfast and just get her dressed earlier.

We change them every 2-3 nights unless we have a reason to do it sooner. They don't go on until right before bed and we change him out of them before leaving his room so it doesn't seem too crazy to me.

She wears pjs twice unless there's some reason why I want them in the wash immediately. Like @clover she's only in her pjs immediately following her bath and goes to bed right after that. Pjs also come off first thing in the morning. If she lounged around in her pjs or ate in her pjs or didn't get a bath every night then I would wash after every wear

I wash them every time. She sweats when she's the slightest bit warm, and her feet are always clammy and sweaty even when she's cold. She also sucks on her hands and gets everything sticky. If those things change, I'll put her in the same pjs more than once.

Fresh PJs every night. Probably could extend them 2-3 nights but it is such a habit now!
persimmon / 1355 posts
No, she eats breakfast in them, and generally spills, so I'm just in the habit of tossing them in the hamper.

My older LO will wear the same ones 2-3 nights. My younger LO gets fresh PJs every night.
nectarine / 2262 posts
No. 5 month old has crazy reflux and everything gets covered in spit up. It's a miracle of he makes it all night in the same pair of pjs!
persimmon / 1467 posts
Yep, all week. I grew up wearing the same pj's every night so it isn't weird to me. We take them off before breakfast so he doesn't get sticky. He only had two pairs of winter pj's.
eggplant / 11861 posts
No she eats breakfast in them usually and I feel like she sweats so I wash them after 1 wear, but honestly I think she totally could!
honeydew / 7230 posts
Occasionally they will re-wear their fleece footed ones because we only have a few of those. They have a million cotton 2 piece so they always get a fresh pair of those.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
Whoa we go several days in PJs... unless she pees or barfs or gets them dirty. She goes into PJs right after bath every night so I assume they don't get too dirty.
pear / 1610 posts
We wear them 2-3 times unless they get messy. They've still got plenty of pjs to go around that they could wear new every night but I already can't keep up with the wash!
nectarine / 2951 posts
Usually not. My son still drools and is just messy in general. Pjs get pretty gross.
squash / 13208 posts
I prefer that they wear them 2 times but they insist on wearing new ones
pomelo / 5326 posts
Yes she wears them 2-3 times unless somehow they get super dirty. I don't wear new pjs each night either.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
We wear them 2-3 days before I switch them out. He goes into them after bath at night and I change him into going out clothes for daycare before he's even awake!
Obviously, if he pees or throws up in them, they go in the wash immediately.

We go several days unless they get peed on. I'm not sure I see the point in washing them after every use? They don't really stuff on them unless he pees out of his diaper. And they always go on after bath when he's clean.

My kids don't change out of their pjs until after breakfast, so I wash after one wear.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
My older daughter we try to get her to wear them twice but she often forgets to put them on a second night.
My youngest usually gets a fresh pair daily. Either because his diaper leaks or he eats breakfast in them and they get dirty.
Lots of laundry!

She generally wears her PJs for sleep only - we change her into PJs right before bed and change diaper/clothes before leaving the room in the morning - so she can easily get 3-4 days of wear out of a pair (sometimes more, I won't lie) before I feel the need to wash them. She doesn't sweat, and unless she gets snot on them or they don't smell fresh anymore, I have no problem with it. Clothes wear out so much faster when they're washed constantly!
