LO 1 (almost 5) still has two on her back. LO 3 (16 months) had a dark one on her leg but it started scabbing recently. I wonder if it will disappear!

DS has one on his back near the top of his bum, he is almost 5 and I don't think it's going away. DH has one in almost the same exact spot too!

yep 12 month old still has mongolian spots on her lower back/bum, though they have faded quite a bit since she was born.

LO1, almost 4, still has two angel kisses (?) on her face. They're lighter than when she was born but I think they'll be visible until she gets freckles.
DS has a line forehead to lip. I think it's less noticeable but surprisingly nobody ever commented on it (not even grandparents) so I'm not sure.

Dd1 has a 'storke bite' on her forehead that the dr said would be gone by the time she's 9months... she's 3.5. It's faded a bit but comes out strong when she's mad or sick. She also has this little red mark under her nose which I think is part of the same thing.
Dd2 has a football shaped mole on her arm, that won't go anywhere.

I haven't found any birthmarks on LO. Do all kids have them? Maybe I am not looking hard enough!

@808love: I don't think so. LO 2 doesn't have any!

I haven't checked recently, but it should still be there. She has a birthmark on the back of her thigh, similar to mine.

DD has angel kisses on the nape of her neck. They get darker/brighter when shes mad or upset.

Yep! She has one on the inside of her upper thigh and it's still there.

No birthmark, but my daughter has a hemangioma on her tummy that is still there. Apparently it will go away by the time she's 7 or 8?

Yes, she has one on the nape of her neck, like I do. Most of us on my mom's side of the family have the same mark (for life).

@gentlelunette: did they tell you it would go away by that time?
My LO has a hemangioma on his head - it's getting harder and harder to see as his hair fills out - but our doc mentioned that by 1 or 2 it would be gone... But he's 14 months old and its definitely the same size its been for a while. Soon, we won't be able to see it at all i guess as his hair grows over it.
He also had a "stork mark" on the back of his neck, but it's mostly gone now.

@hellobeeboston: ya, my doctor said some kids have theirs disappear by 2, but they can last a lot longer. My daughter is 21 months and it's still the same size it has been since she was a few months old. He said once it starts to get white in the middle, that's a signs it's "dissolving". No sign of that yet!
