I'm at my SIL's house and her almost 4 year old DD has been lying all night long! I know it's with age, and they are harmless little fibs but I was curious if anyone else's LO does this?

Yes, DD started lying at age 2. She lies about things that might get her into trouble, but it's not very often. She's also getting quite the imagination so she makes up little stories which can be viewed as a form of lying as well.

Yes I would say he started around 3yrs old. He lies to get out of trouble, or things he think will get him in trouble. He always says "Well let me think about this..." and then we know a lie is coming. He also puts his hand to his mouth. I have tried to explain that he gets in more trouble for lying, but he still does it.
