My LO doesn't talk yet, she's only 8 months. She used to make a very obviousl "I'm pooing" grunt, but she doesn't do that anymore. And then she won't complain about the poo either. And I can't judge by smell because her toots are smellier than her poos! She's in cloth so it's too padded to know by touch. So I end up just constantly checking her diaper.
How do you know when your LO poos?

LO has a poo face and goes to a more out of the way spot for "privacy". Now that she talks, she will sometimes tell us as well.

Nope! I have rely on my nose. LO will sit and sit in wet and dirty diapers without letting me know! She was like this since she was born.. they don't bother her!

DD is very reliable with her poos in the morning! She goes within about 30 minutes of being awake, so I always try to put her on the potty. Her afternoon poos are not nearly as reliable, some days like today I was lucky & caught it but most others I just rely on my nose or checking.
