YUP.
Also thinks saying "sorry!" erases whatever just happened.

Ha ha, some adults think the same.
Please just makes a request sound nice. It's still a request and can be denied!

The day before yesterday LO though "sorry for not taking a nap" would magically erase the consequences of no tv and early bedtime for my cranky girl. No such luck but I liked the attempt at logic and negotiations!

LO isn't talking yet but this makes me think of my niece and nephew who sometimes scream "NO THANK YOU!!!" at each other when angry. It's hilarious.

Yes! He just started saying this within the past week or so (he's 19 months) and so far it's working for him like a charm. That's because he's asking for a bite of my toast or a small piece of chocolate after dinner, though - things he would get anyway, but I want to encourage manners! It's going to be a sad day when he realizes I can still say no

definitely! I remind her all the time to use her manners. when I outright say no she sometimes then says please, but I have to stick to my guns. what really sucks is when I tell her shes not being nice and she throws in a please, lol

LO is 12 months & this is her newest word. It's so adorable! When she wants to nurse she tries to lift my shirt & says "pweaseee?" haha!
