he wakes up happy in the AM, but it's 50/50 from naps. he's never been more than a 1 - 1.5 hr napper tho~ so i think it's the days he needs more sleep that he wakes up whiny!

She wakes up fussy/crying in the mornings, and sometimes is fussy after a nap.

She's all smiles in the morning - big, cheesy, "shy" grins. As long as her naps aren't cut short, considerably, she wakes in a similarly good mood.

He wakes up pretty happy in the mornings and naps. Lately, he's been pointing to things in his room with lots of talking. He complains more than anything when he goes down for both depending upon his level of activity.

Happy! She's definitely a morning person. She's usually pretty happy when we 'rescue' her from naps as well

Happy in the mornings. Depends on how the nap goes what LOs mood is.

Usually "crying" but I think it's because I don't go to him shortly after he wakes up (he's 3 months). It's more of a whiny cry than a full on tears cry. Once I pick him up, he's fine and he's a happy camper.

Super happy and chatty in the mornings, and a disaster after naps. He tends to give me a "WTF, what took you so long to come get me?" look.

It depends on the day. Today, she woke up happy.

Happy for naps (because we nap together) and cries for mornings. But it's more of a "mama! Papa!" Come get me kind of thing
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Happy thank god. She only naps 30 mins at a time which drives me bonkers. I'd hate to deal with a crabby baby on top of that.
apricot / 349 posts
in the morning, he's happy and talking/laughing to himself...
naps are a different story - it's 50/50 and even when he wakes up crying, he'll be all smiles once we pick him up and turn on the lights
pomegranate / 3204 posts
Depends. If he wakes up too early he is crabby and crying. If he sleeps at least 11 hours he wakes up happy and smiling.

If she manages to break out of her swaddle she wakes up happy and knawing on both fists like she hasn't eaten in weeks. If she's still swaddled she wakes up pissed.

Happy in the AM and usually pretty happy after naps. If my son goes in her room when she wakes up, she always has a HUGE grin on her face. If it's me or my DH who goes in, it's 50/50. =\

If she is in her crib, she wakes up and gets mad. If she is with one of us, she's pretty happy. Or just looks drowsy for a while.

Super happy in the morning. After naps DD is usually groggy/tired but once we tell her what we're going to do, she perks up.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
Always happy if she wakes up on her own. We usually wake her from her nap and sometimes she is clingy/grumpy from being woken up
persimmon / 1304 posts
Normally happy! She is sometimes whiny if she wakes up unexpectedly from a loud noise or the car stopping.

he fusses a little as he's waking, but once he's awake he will giggle and chat to himself in there until we go get him! i love watching him on the monitor

Usually happy, but it's really hard to predict when she's going to wake up miserable.
nectarine / 2994 posts
Usually happy, only if she wakes up before she was ready to is when she's unhappy.

LO wakes up happy in the mornings and usually very cranky from naps on the days that he does nap. He also wakes up crying in the middle of the night, but it's an easy fix. We just bring him to the bathroom to pee, and he goes back to sleep.
