I know! I shouldn't be complaining. But sometimes mommy has better things to do than to read to you for 3 hours straight. I swear my daughter would be happy if she sat on the couch with us and we read to her all day long.

I wish! If I start reading out loud my 3 yo will usually come check it out, maybe even sit and finish the book. My 1 year old has way better things to do.
I wish she would ask me to read more!

Yes - he could sit there for hours! But I think since a few months ago he prefers running around playing instead. But up until 18-19 months it was like obsessive level!

Yes my almost 17 month old is obsessed. I started hiding books
I feel bad but he will ask over and over and over! So I'll read some then start to hide them

he has gone through phases like that it and i currently miss it because now he wants us to play trains with him all the floor all day and my pregnant self would be more comfortable sitting on the couch reading!

Yes. My older one has loved to read since he was a baby. My younger one has been very interested since about 16 months. Their idea of happy would be sitting on the couch with books all afternoon.

Yes. I always ask if he wants to read when I don't want to play whatever he chose...he almost always says yes (though he'll occasionally say "no, i want to play XXX right now.")

YES! All she wants me to do is read. I am glad, but it is usually the SAME book over and over...

Yes and I love reading to her except I get out of breath now (18 weeks)! I have a really short torso and short waist so my bump must already be pushing my lungs around a bit...
