So far my LO has mainly worn only hand me downs and gifted clothes. I've been very lucky to not have to buy her any clothes. I thought that we would have to start buying the next size up.... but my neighbor came over with a huge bag of her granddaughter's clothes that they were planning to donate. A lot of them were too small for LO already, but it's a good start!

She definitely wears any hand me downs we get... but we haven't been given too many just yet. My BFF's LO is 5 years older than mine so she didn't have many baby clothes that she kept... but starting at size 2T my LO is set for life and will be wearing LOTS of hand me downs : )

Awesome! DD ran out of hand me downs around 18 months old because she's so tall, but DS has a stash all the way through 4T. I love hand me downs!

We buy used clothes and get hand me downs from my niece. My niece however doesn't grow really fast so she often wears out her clothes before she outgrows them so I often have to buy some newer pieces still.

In his toddler years, yes, he had a lot of hand me downs. Now he doesn't have anyone to get them from, and he prefers new clothes...I do to, for him, cause he's gonna wear them out anyways. Might as well get the maximum use out of them.
We do pass his clothes on to my friend's kid, though.

We haven't been given too many until recently. We have a whole bunch of 4t stuff and I'm sooo thankful! It is the first time, since she was born, that we have been given clothing! (That's what happens when you are the first to have kids...)

We have hand me downs up to 4T. We haven't bought very many clothes for the girls.

LO is 3 months old--since people were so generous with the hand me downs, 98% of what he's worn has been used.

Unfortunately almost all of the hand me downs we've received have been off seasons. I got a ton of NB and 0-3 shorts and rompers for our January baby....and a bunch of 6-9 mos stuff that's wool, velvet, or corduroy.

She will be! My HS friend gave me a huuuuuge amount of clothes, all the way from NB- 1year. I shouldn't have to buy LO clothes for ages, I'm very lucky!

we didn't get any hand me downs as most of my friends had boys or kids after us. but i buy a lot of charlie and olive's clothes used off our parenting listserv (big garbage bag fulls for like $40-$50), and nicer one off pieces from our local consignment shop. my mom also buys tons of clothes for them and my aunt buys us nicer stuff. i just fill in the gaps with some cute things.

we didn't get any hand me downs... i was the first out of my gfs and dh's bff has 3 boys, so they're still using their own hand me downs!!

We did not get any hand me downs. We are the first to have kids of our friends.

We're good up to a year. I didn't *have* to buy any, but I did buy some cute stuff that I liked
