I think headbands are adorable on babies. But for some reason they just look weird on my LO. She has such a boyish face, I feel like she looks like a boy playing dress up. Plus my husband isn't a fan of them.

I got her to wear it for her 1st bday. It was sooooo adorable. She was such a good girl and did not pull it off. I haven't thought to put one on her again ... I really don't think she would stand for it anymore but I should try.

Haha. I bought one for her 1st but she wouldn't keep it on! LO looks like a little boy sometimes too. hehe.

I haven't put any on my LO because I'm afraid that the elastic will be too tight for her head. Silly thing to worry about, I know.

@owlmom: I worried that in the beginning to. And then when I finally said I'm going to try on the headband, she had grown out of it and it really was too tight.

My LO doesn't like headbands so I use a ton of clips! She has a ton of wild hair!

@artbee: it is straight but sticks up everywhere...too short to really tame.! I hope it grows in more soon!

@autumnlove: My LO's stays tame if you brush it after bath time. Which my husband doesn't do, and since I'm unable to bend down to get the brush right now due to surgery, it just goes wild. But I love it, it's a mohawk so it's cute like that.

I wasn't a big fan of those headbands prebaby, but our LO has a boyish face too and pink doesn't suit her so well. I put headbands on her when we go out somewhere and she's wearing neutral clothes. If she's dressed girly, I usually won't bother. Her hair is growing in mohawk like. Her hair is a little skimpy on the sides but thicker on top and it sticks straight up so the headbands help keep her hair down a little.

@mynoahbear: I just let people think she's a boy if she's in neutral clothes. It's become a game to guess how many people will say something with the words "he" or "little buddy."

@artbee: even when LO is wearing all pink frilly clothes, some people will ask if she's a boy or girl. That's always the second question. The first is if she's a half baby (since she doesn't look japanese).

@mynoahbear: I've had people say that about LO when she's in all pink too. The best was when she was in a pink frilly dress. and I was changing her hot pink diaper in the ladies room and somebody called her a him. Really?

LO isn't even here yet and I already bought her 2 headbands. They're really delicate and made by a grandad in NY.

@Crumbs: So pretty! My LO actually has one that looks just like that in pink. I bought it for her newborn photoshoot... but it was too big for her then. And now it's too small.

@Crumbs: are they cute in person? i am looking to buy some headbands for olive. i love them! olive is too young to protest!

@Crumbs: those are really cute but how soft is the elastic? LO has a big head and I'm afraid the elastic might dig into her head.

@artbee: haha...was it a granny? With us, it's always a granny that looks into the stroller and says oh how cute, is it a boy or girl.
