The smaller cafes in my neighborhood have clean condiment stands, but the larger ones are all just horrible. I end up cleaning the condiment stands myself every time I go, just because it bothers me so much. A first world solution to a first world problem.

We have a Starbucks across the street and it's always clean!

For the most part. I haven't inspected it though. When I worked at a coffee shop, the milk that was out for people to use always smelt sour. It was the pitcher itself and no one could clean it properly. So gross.

No local cafes except the chain stores, but when I worked at a cafe in my previous town, I made sure that I was checking the station every 20 minutes or so. Nothing worse than having someone complain about spilled coffee or sour milk, especially when its a simple thing to keep clean!
